Hey everybody! My birthday is December 24, and I usually love it. The last two years have been… less than good.

(I was unintentionally alone for my birthday for both of the last two years, and a bunch of other crappy stuff happened)

2020- My car wouldn’t start, and the tow-truck driver almost didn’t show up because there was a dusting of snow. By the time I got to go anywhere it was almost Christmas Day.

2021- My uncle was brutally murdered by my cousin a couple of weeks before my birthday. (Today is actually the anniversary of his death.) …And then on the 24th, the transmission on my car died. I tried to rent a car, got a ride to the rental place at the airport, then couldn’t rent it because my drivers license expired that freaking day. The DMV was closed for the holiday, and I wasn’t allowed to renew it online. Then my phone died, and I got stuck at the airport for three hours in the city where I live.

2022- I’m aiming for no deaths, no car issues, not getting stuck in an airport, and maybe a slice of cake? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
