u/littlesisterv: Thank you for the postcard of the old Kai Tak Airport! I actually just moved and amongst the books that I'd packed away and just taken out was a book about Kowloon Walled City! I definitely need to read it and get a sense of the extraordinary place and environment that it was. I also think it's a fascinating place that could only really exist as it did at the time and place that it did. I visited Hong Kong once as a child, but have no idea whether I flew into Kai Tak or Hong Kong International Airport. I've seen photos of the planes and also read stories about the usual landing at Kai Tak. I had lots of fun reading your card and thoughts about the two places!
u/dashedaway: Thank you for your card and uplifting words, which funnily enough, are quite opposite in message to the book cover design of the postcard: Dreadful Summit!
u/loki_pepper12: Thank you for your card! I think you did a great job colouring it in. I have a terribly low level of concentration and would have given up colouring it about a quarter of the way through!
u/plushestpossum: Thank you for the postcard and the many stamps that you used! I love the vivid colours and of course, the stark nature of the land, which is so unfamiliar to me. I was surprised that you got an Uluru postmark without being there! I haven't been before, but really would love to visit one day! Hopefully we both manage to make it there soon!
u/Dapper_Road_6928: Thank you for your postcard! And a huge congratulations on your very last assignment (we can both ignore the other!)!! I didn't know what paua was, so I googled it and realised that NZ doesn't allow the export of paua, which is probably good for sustainability, but also one of the reasons why I hadn't heard of it. I guess I'll have to visit to try it! Hopefully you and your friend spotted many seals on the beach!
u/LeeElla: Hallo neighbour! I really got confused by the postcard, so it's good that you brought it up! I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip to Tokyo and found how you enjoy your holiday! Did you know that the Golden Gate Bridge's colour is Golden Gate Bridge International Orange and one of the initial plans was for it to be striped, which was rejected by its architects?
u/Gerbie37: Thank you for your postcard! I looked up Uspenski Cathedral and saw some pictures of it by the water and agree that it is very striking, especially when you see the cathedral and its reflection! I've never seen an Eastern Orthodox cathedral before and would love to see Uspenski Cathedral if I can!
