Oh man, I think I need a new system for my thank you posts, I can't dedicate a whole 3 hours to writing thank you's at the first weekend of every month πŸ˜† And then when I see my whole pile of cards waiting for me on my desk omniously I get the urge to procrastinate. Anyway! Thank you to everyone that's sent me a card in November!

Here we go:

u/on1oman1ac - card - Oh man, this has become one of the favourite cards I've ever received. I honestly can't stop looking at it; I'll probably display it right above my desk so I can stare at it while working (or instead of working 😏). Thank you so much!

You asked about my bachelor thesis. And yea, it went somewhat well. I didn't get an exceptional grade, but my goal from the very beginning of my studies was just to pass, and pass I did! πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“ Now I'm working a paid internship at the government in the field I'm hoping to find a "real" job in sometime in the future. I don't have any specific plans for after my internship yet, but I definitely want to take a short (1-2 month) break to travel a bit. Afterwards it's either suffering through to try and get a master diploma or entering the big and scary working world. I still have some time before I have to decide and start applying for universities or jobs, so I'm using that as an excuse to not think about it 😁

u/caknuck - card - So cute! I love hearing about other people's pets. One day I definitely want to adopt a dog from a shelter, but right now I neither have time nor space at my place so it'll have to wait. But once I'm financially stable and moved out I will definitely 100% without a doubt adopt a dog. I honestly can't wait, it's a dream of mine to get a dog since I was like 5 years old :D

u/stephkempf - card - Oh man, if that recipe came in colour instead of black and white, I'd have probably ran straight to the kitchen to make it πŸ˜† Whatever it is, if there is "Mozzarella" in its name I'm all for it. Can't wait to try this sandwich (burger?). Thank you!

u/szedecrem - card - Your Christmas stamp is a little snow globe! How cute is that? Thank you for showing me 😊 Also your username stamp is really cool.

u/Tinawebmom - card - I love this card! The little silver snowflake is my favourite little touch :) I hope you have a wonderful and warm holiday season aswell!

u/LeeElla - card - Ooh, I didn't know you went to Japan! That makes me so jealous, I've been wanting to go back to Japan ever since my family and I went there on a 2-week trip back in summer 2018. It was scorching hot and I had quite a bad allergic reaction to some insect bites on my legs, but other than that it was so amazing. I can't wait to go back hopefully soon-ish (and shop at Daiso to my heart's content, haha)!

u/tashsmash - card - Aww, this card is adorable! I'm so happy you picked such a cute one for me πŸ₯° I agree, Etsy is a great place to find all sorts of beautiful stuff; but I have to be really careful whenever browsing that website because I'll always end up with at least a few items in my cart πŸ˜†

u/funtonite - card - Oh I'm so happy I got my first pick for these cards 😁 Thank you! One of my favourite Asian or Japanese meals to cook at home is also curry. It's so easy and so damn delicious! I like to make it with pork that's rolled in panko and then fried (katsu?). But I need to stop talking about food because I'm getting hungry, haha.

u/pieceofpizzaz - card - Thank you for this pawfully cute card! Ice skating also used to be one of my favourite activities in winter; I remember I'd go with my friends after school and we had a lot of fun. But as I got older I went less and less, unfortunately. I think it's about time I go again! 😊

u/welshfancy - card - What a delicate and pretty card. Somehow this is making me a bit emotional, haha. I'll be sending you a reply card instead of answering on this thank you post! 😁

u/likablelobster - card - Thank you for the raoc_meta origami card! That lil cat is so cute :D Also your puns on the card were awful πŸ˜† I hate that I love them, haha. And the derpy dancing santa washi tape is just the perfect addition to these puns!

u/reindeerfrog - card - Oh I know that feeling of having big plans to send cards, but then time just kind of slips away and suddenly you're in a rush to get all the cards out on time. I gotta confess, I posted an offer for Christmas cards nice and eary at the start of November. But I have yet to send or write the cards 😐 But I will definitely get them out. I guess I'm one of those that claim they work better under pressure, haha... We don't have anything special planned for Christmas this year, just a nice dinner at a restaurant. My family and I said that wed not do Christmas gifts anymore, but I still found some cute little gifts in summer that I've kept until now πŸ˜† I have the habit of buying gifts way too early because I got the idea and no patience, so I have to get the gifts right away, haha.

u/trying43 - card - Love the subtle glitter on this card. Unfortunately the camera really doesn't do this card justice, because it's so pretty! I hope you've had a great start into December and wish you a lovely holiday season β›„ PS: The stickers on the envelope are really cute

u/cookalot - card - Aww, thank you! My first birthday card this year 😁 I've been wanting to post a request for my birthday for a while now but always just somehow forget about it until the "deadline" is a bit too close. Maybe next year I'll post one in time!

u/umeshufan - card - You're the best. Honestly, thank you for being so thoughtful. It took a while to recover and for a while after I was "officially" better I still felt a bit drowsy and had slight headaches, but luckily it's all gone now. Now it's just the normal winter drowsiness, haha πŸ˜… I haven't gotten any updates from the email thingy recently, but I hope you're doing well β™₯ Also thank you again for the amazing pink (and green and silver) envelopes!

u/Mysteryvus - card - First of all, how COOL are these Halloween stamps? I just realized on the photo they're blue/green and red/orange, but looking at them now they're yellow and purple respectively. Oh man I really am crazy for anything holographic, haha. This is great. Thank you for the self-love card 😊 I've thought of some intentions for myself, but I'm too ˒ʰʸ to write them here publically, so I won't, haha 😢 Also I'm so touched that you still remember me from Secret Santa. It's been a while!

u/Peonynote - card - What a cute card, thank you so much. I love the subtle glitter on their faces and how happy they all look! :D Wishing you a lovely holday season aswell β›„

u/tigerlady13 - card - Thank you for the giant bat card! :D The inside has holographic foil on the writing and it's so pretty! Hope you had a lovely autumn too, and wishing you a nice and warm winter! β›„

u/slavkan12 - card - Aww, I just looked up westie dogs and they're adorable. Thank you for the card, it's so adorable! It makes me want to eat whatever they're having, it looks delicious :D Unfortunately I don't have a dog myself, but it's been a childhood dream of mine to get one. And I definitely will once I'm financially stable and have more space for a happy dog!

  • card1 - Ahaha, I also often write cards with the first thing that comes to mind, but sometimes the first, or second or third thing is so random I almost feel bad for the recipient, so I try to think of something else to write πŸ˜† Anyway you're right though, the burgundy ink is really pretty! But the brown ink matches the card (actually the burgundy matches it even better but idk what else nice thing to say about the brown one LOL. It looks like yummy coffee though!).
  • card2 - So cute, love the spiderweb you drew onto the envelope, and the tiny spider! I will be replying to you Halloween card with a Christmas card! πŸŽ„ And then you can send me a New Year card and I'll send you a Lunar New Year card and then you send me a Valentine's card and then uhhh; I think Easter is next? πŸ˜†

u/yuunistar - card - The little lines you did with the wax are so cool, I'll have to try that too sometime! Also your tarot reading was weirdly accurate to my situation. It's kind of a private matter so I don't really want to elaborate but you've definitely helped me with your reading. Thank you!

u/finishingthetea (x2) - cards - Thank you for the raoc_meta tea/coffee cards! I'll have to be honest, I'm not really a big tea person, but prefer hot chocolate :D Or coffee, but with lots of milk (cappuccino) or well, I guess I also drink tea with milk (bubble tea) but that doesn't count because it's not tea 🍡 (I just learned that you can italicize an emoji lol). But I did an advent calendar carding thing for my boyfriend last year where I had lovely people from RAoC send a card with some tea and some people sent a brand called DavidsTea. It was the loveliest smelling tea I've ever had. I don't know about the taste (it was good but I can't judge it because I don't know much about tea) but the smell was so delicious, I can't even begin describe it. Unfortunately that brand doesn't ship to Europe though so I'll just think about its smell until I travel overseas again sometime πŸ˜…

I love the idea of repurposing pretty packaging into cards, it's genius! Especially when they're as pretty as this one. I don't think I'm a big fan of anything floral for foods or drinks either, but I really like trying new things (like tea!). I've gotten quite a few teas from RAoCers and it's been a lot of fun to try all kinds of tea. I still prefer hot chocolate, but a nice cup of tea once in a while just hits the spot.

u/isar-love - card - Thank you for the raoc_meta tea/coffee card. I do know RΓ€uber Hotzenplotz but I've never actually listened/read/watched the story. Actually I believe it was in the cinemas in Switzerland not long ago and my mom took my two younger cousins to watch it. She said it was really funny :D Maybe I'll give it a go too sometime.

u/HexagonalRainbow (x5) - I was not kidding when I said I had a bunch of your envelopes sitting on my desk! Four, to be precise! I'm so glad I stole the bullet point system from u/umeshufan, it's much more ΓΌbersichtlich that way if there's several cards to thank for πŸ˜†

  • card1 - Ohh my goddd it's me! It's so cute, I look so happy, hahaha. I think AI art is so interesting and fun. I tried a few prompts with a free AI art generator and while it did come out with some cool things, most of it were a bit weird. Especially when faces were involved, that's nightmare fuel sometimes 😢 Also love the Pokemon washi!! Charmander is my favourite πŸ”₯
  • card2 - Honestly anything related to space and astronauts is so fascinating. It's fascinating and really scary at the same time. And also funny sometimes when they play around with objects and food on the space station, haha. I remember when I was in 6th grade my teacher took us outside on a clear night to show us the stars with his laserpointer. And it was a really strong laserpointer! I later went home and told my parents that the teacher had a laserpointer that you could see even in space πŸ˜… They didn't believe me 😢
  • card3 4 - raoc_meta cute/kawaii challenge! I remember you said you just picked one for me and hoped I'd like it. And yes! I love them!! Also I'm struggling to decide between switching to German now or replying to your German card in English. Anyway, let me see if I can find the video of some little dude singing the "Five little monkeys" song and he was really cool 😎 https://www.instagram.com/p/CiSRS-PJDXO/
  • card5 - Oooooooh. Wait first, yes boss! I opened this on December 3rd, as you instructed, boss! And I literally let out a small gasp when I took this card out of the envelope. It's so pretty and whimsical and I'm so happy I got to receive this card (I can't find it but insert emoji with the big teary eyes). One thing I look forward to is to go to the Christmas market in Bern and buy cookies from some grandmas that have a stand every year! They didn't have one for the last two years because of the pandemic, but the other day while I was hurrying through the city I believe I spotted the back of their stand! I'm going back this upcoming Saturday and I can't wait to monch on those cookies 🀰 (this is me with a cookie-baby).
