i have two beautiful cards on offer as a way to connect to Native American Heritage month. one depicts tipis and one depicts an eagle, and on the back there is a small paragraph with some context and facts about each from a Lakota perspective.
i know many of us have been trying to reframe our connection to American Thanksgiving in recent years. i am working on that too, trying to learn more about Native American perspectives that connect to the present day. to that end, i wanted to share a podcast episode that really got me thinking - it is from the Be Antiracist podcast with Ibram X. Kendi and features a chat with Ojibwe Indian David Treuer - the title of it is "Repairing the Past: Returning Native Land" (i hope it is ok to link, and i hope you enjoy taking a listen)
let me know if you're interested in either of these cards. :)
