I too have only the fondest memories of Rīga: the first time I visited it with my nephew, we got a taxi driver who was a professor, and when he heard that we were tourists, he turned off his taximeter and gave us a mini tour around the center, talking about architecture and the history behind it. In general, it's such a great city! I love it 100x more than I like our own capital, ha...

u/Lestrangelatte thank you for the amazing porcini postcard! It's the mushroom season here in Lithuania, and finding mushrooms in my post box is only natural, right! I was so sure that I was ready for everything to turn white in the upcoming month, but reading your postcard made me think that maybe I would like to skip winter and have the ground covered with fallen pale petals of plum and cherry blossoms instead.
