u/56Thorns x2: Thank you so much for your birthday wishes! I love the stickers you used too, especially the shiny ones! I had a relaxed day by myself and walked a lot around Chiang Mai.
u/Bree867: Thank you for your meta challenge: Books card! I'm not a huge reader and even though I started the year fairly well, the number of books I've read has dwindled. A controversial idea, but I prefer reading ebooks over books! A season-appropriate book that I really liked was The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman! I loved the bittersweet ending that the coming-of-age story had.
u/KoreWrites x2: Thank you for your birthday wishes and snarky card! I love snarky cards. I haven't watched the Wheel of Time and looked up those swear phrases you mentioned. I like it when there are universe-specific words or phrases in shows, especially in fantasy shows, since it adds to the world building.
u/New_year_baby x3: Thank you for your birthday wishes and extras! I also really liked the stamps you used. Stamps that aren't regular rectangles are always so fun. Too bad we don't really have any of those here! I snacked a lot for my birthday, which was fun, because sometimes proper meals just aren't as fun as snacking!
u/snailmailer142: Thank you for your birthday wishes! I had a fun day and walked a lot, while making lots of short stops at 7-Elevens to get out of the heat and humidity!
u/SatanekoChan: Thank you for your joint card with u/ignaposts! It's really cool that you met and did lots of things together! I know what you mean about being a tour guide in your own city. It's tough because as locals, we don't do touristy things or even know about some touristy things, so we need to break out of our usual routines and maybe even gain a new perspective through showing friends around!
u/ignaposts x2: Thank you for your cards! Your trip around Europe sounds like it was a lot of fun, but in July? It must have been really hot to be out there and biking, so it makes sense that you took a train at the end, with the terrible heatwave that Europe was experiencing! The Royal Palace at night sounds amazing! I'm reminded of my visit to Bolsa Palace in Porto, which was absolutely beautiful! Did you have to travel pretty light, since you were biking from country to country? It's funny that you lost your fork and knife. I hope you found some new cutlery so that you didn't have more problems! Sleeping in tents in the summer is very brave of you! I've slept in tents a few times here and the heat and humidity that gets trapped inside, I tell you!
u/ssubmarinee x3: Thank you for your cards and extras! I had lots of fun in Thailand, although there was also some uh... not so fun bits, but I will focus on the fun I had! I like the cheese stall postcard. It's a reminder that I need some goat cheese in my life asap!! I haven't heard of Alfajores, but I can kind of imagine how it would taste. It definitely sounds like the kind of food that would go well with a cup of strong tea! I like escaping from reality too! I watch tv shows and travel to get away from reality, but reading is a great way of forgetting about things for a while too. I love the ice cream stickers you stuck on. One of my breakfasts in Thailand was a flight of 5 small scoops of ice cream! Lots of fun and very good for the hot weather!
