I sent out a request just 5ish days ago and got so many wonderful cards and letters that even the short hospitalization didn't affect my mood much. I legitimately cried from the love you guys showed. Here's the long due thank yous.
u/photographyislove (x2-3?) - You are such an amazing new friend. I am so lucky that we have been able to connect!
u/trashtiger101(?) - The username was squished but I hope I got it right. You sent such a beautiful card and reminded me that the sun will rise again.
u/skylineprophets - Thank you for the positive words. It really means a lot right now.
u/jaimekj (x2) - Thank you for the sweet card and the beautiful quotes. Maya Angelou is one of my favorite poets. Still, I rise is one of my favorites to this day. The postcard is so dang cute.
u/tinawelmom - thank you for the pain relieving advice. I can't use THC of any kind for different reasons, unfortunately.
u/_pickupthepieces - Another Maya Angelou fan! I am LOVING it. Thank you for the postcard and positive words.
u/fruitbb (x2)- First of all, that card was so dang cute. Second, you know my mailbox is always wide open as well. I'm lucky to have made a friend in you! Also, I love love love the postcard.
u/lonelytwatwaffle - You're right that it's hard to hang on to hope, but you're also right that it is the only thing that truly gives me the strength to get to tomorrow.
u/tigerlady101 - That horse card mad me snort because Odin probably has the same face, just totally derpy. Love your kindness.
u/BornAd8941 (x2) - Those stickers on the card were so dang cute and I DO plan to tell you ALL about Odin! have I sent you a photo of him yet? I do think we have a little club of all the people who became active around the same time we did. I can't believe I took so long to get as active as I have!
u/lillysxll - Hello from California! Your snail mail is so cute.
u/thepoppunkqueen - I really love this little ghost. Did you paint it yourself? It looks both professional and handmade at the same time and it makes me love it even more.
u/catnamedchicken - I looked up Fuck the Pain Away and I was not at all insulted or offended by your crude start. I found it refreshing and funny. I also used to have chickens. They weren't overly friendly, but they weren't skittish either. They would absolutely run to you if they knew it was feeding time. We also rescued a one tusked abused potbelly male pig named Sprinkles. Let me tell you, we didn't put a top on our coop area and you wouldn't believe how we reacted the first time we found all 12 chickens roosting in the trees!! We thought they got out or were killed! Nope. Just in the trees, just because. Also, thank you for painting me a dragonfly. They're one of my favorite insects!
u/aulei - First of all, your poetry was so beautiful. I used to write as well and I haven't in a long time. I guess cards are as good as I get now. I loved your card and everthing that you said. I know that you were low on spoons that day but you did it anyways and I'm seriously grateful for it. I know that I'm not alone and you're so sweet and funny. I'm so glad we got to become frieends and that you love Odin and I!
u/littlemermaidxx - Thank you for such a cute card as well as thee positive comments. I've felt like my mission is to make the world a litttle bit better one card at a time and I'm so glad that you will be getting yours soon if you haven't already.
u/mindOK9980 - I really really love the creepy factor of this card. Also, what you wrote is really sweet. I also listen to audio stories while I rest. I like to listen to NoSleep stories narrated by certain narrators and just listen to their voices. I used to need a completely quiet, dark room to sleep and I was dealing with a lot of agoraphobia due to past trauma that heightened by noise and light hypersensitvity. I started listening to NoSleep narrations at night as a way to expose myself to noise in a controlled environment. You'd never know I was like that now Also, RBG is the real GOAT.
u/cookbree - Thank you so much for the postcard and warm words. I really needed that today. I also loved the abstract postcard.
