And yay that you're wanting to embroider! I'd recommend starting off with buying a kit that includes different types of stitches; something like this or this, for example! Def start off simple AND with a design that you really like. I also recommend watching videos, they're super helpful (at least for me, as a visual learner haha). Searching things like "hand embroidery for beginners" on the interwebs will bring up a bunch of useful tutorials!! :D
