My sweet boy, Bernard the Great Dane, has the big C. We are GD people so we are prepared as best we can for losing them young, but my guy is the best and is only turning 7 this month :( If the mass were elsewhere we would have a better chance, but it is in his mouth eating away at the bone in his upper jaw, almost impossible to address surgically without causing him to suffer. We are not going to be able to save him but we do have resources, treatments, and medications that can prolong his quality of life. His birthday is on the 25th, and seeing that it will likely be his last I'm reaching out to request doggo birthday cards! He got one from Chewy last week and we made a big deal about it and absolutely loved the attention! It's mostly for me though, I'm struggling with this. He's not the youngest we have lost but he's my heart dog and 7 years is not enough.
I know I've been MIA again, school has been kicking my butt, and I'm pretty sure I owe some 'thank you's. If I haven't thanked you for your card, PM me so I can fix that! (I have a great chicken nugget valentine that I don't think I ever thanked you for!)
Hug your babies tight for me today
