Although my mini-vacation got canceled, I got a ton of wonderful postcards, and my mood was great the whole day!
u/WhatDayIsIt123 thank you for the postcard of St. George's Chapel, tea, and stickers! I haven't tried the tea yet, but I will brew it tonight. I Googled Platinum Jubilee Postboxes, and damn they are cute!!!
u/melhen16 When I was a child, I was told watermelons were fruits. In my teens, I learned that they were berries, and now I am hit by "watermelons are vegetables". I am scared of what they will become once I am even older. Thank you for the cute watermelon postcard and fun facts!
u/quackers212 Mange tak... and um... this is where my Danish speaking skills end, haha. Thank you for the great postcard from Denmark. I am happy to hear you had a good time visiting despite getting sick.
u/NachoCheese928 Thank you so much for the amazing card from Alan Jackson's photography collection. The colors are stunning! A perfect blend of my beloved yellow and green. And thank you very much for the goodies!
u/PoisonousKey What a cute corgi! Thank you for the postcard with riddles! The "What tastes better than smells?" made me feel so stupid, lol. This was the one I couldn't figure out and when I checked the answer... Ahhh :D ...
u/Lydi-ahaha yay! Thank you for adding to my only postage stamp collection! It's interesting to hear dragons are no longer portrayed as negative beings in the media. I do feel like looking more into this shift. The postcard is wonderful as well! Danke vielmals!
u/TheFeistyFox x2 The Austrian EUROPA 2022 postage stamp looks so much cooler in person! I do like it much more now.
I have been learning German non-stop for a few weeks now, and - I think it was the day before yesterday - that I switched back to practicing Norwegian. It was difficult to shift back to Norwegian, but I made it. And today I got your German Story Card; I felt my brain curse at me as I read the entire story in a Norwegian accent and understood nothing the first time, haha. The second re-read went well. Thank you!
Your trip Hohe Tauern sounds great. I feel a teeny tiny bit jealous now :) . I hope you have plenty of other wonderful trips this year! Thank you!!!
u/likablelobster Thank you for the beautiful stork postcard! There is a superstition in Lithuania related to the first sighting of storks: if the first stork you see in spring is flying, then you will pass to the next grade, but if it's in the nest, you won't be able to pass, and if it's walking? You can pretend you saw nothing and try your luck next time.
u/plushestpossum x3 My first maxicard! And three super pretty ones at that! Thank you so much! I hope the maxicards I have sent you will reach you soon. In the meantime, *goes on philately e.shop* let's look for some more I could send you :) ! P.S. no, no quandongs here
