dontmesswithnuns Thank you for the vintage Hong Kong harbour postcard and the variety of stamps. I really love vintage postcards of Asia, because most of the times, places have undergone rapid, unrecognisable changes within the last few decades and vintage postcards are one way to hold on to a scene I never got to see in my time. Something like a sense false nostalgia or anemoia, I guess π.
onelittlericeball x2 Thank you for the Fasnacht card, stamp and bubble tea card. My sister was in Luzern in February when they had a carnival and she saw someone in a toilet paper costume π. Thanks for sharing this part of Swiss culture with me! I hope I can see it in person someday.
I really liked bubble tea when I was younger (like in primary and secondary school) but now I get tired of sweet stuff easily and drink it fewer than a handful of times a year. I always order the most basic milk tea as it's the cheapest as well π . You might be able to find a cup for as cheap as S$2 with student discount here. There's a really popular brand from Taiwan that's a hot favourite among my friends, εθΆδΈε Chicha San Chen, but they're too expensive imo, averaging S$5-8. Is that the standard price of BBT in CH? When shops were closed because of covid, my sis made her own BBT from scratch including the brown sugar tapioca pearls! For me, that's too much effort and I would just go without BBT haha!
M0NK3YKLNG Haha thanks for the architecture card and the pretty illustrated Kampong Glam stamp you sent during our meetup carding sesh. Thanks for the Parisian Agency rec! The way you say it β the lightness of the concrete in Tadao Ando's buildings β is a great description. I've never seen anything like the Optical Glass House! You mentioned being hopeful for the Art Deco stamps. So will you be buying lots of them? I really dislike the greyness of the buildings in the photos. Yeah, there's the concept of light and shadows but it doesn't seem to be well-executed for every one of the stamps unfortunately...
amyt13 Thank you for the pretty handmade Easter card and such a cute spring themed envelope with the pastel washi and flower stamps. I've always wanted to experience spring in temperate countries because of the blooming flowers! The Instax shot was such a nice addition to see how your part of the world looks like :)
talkingroses Thank you for sending me this beautiful textured Year of Tiger postcard with zodiac stamps. I appreciate the frequent cards you've been sending me recently so much π₯°.
