Four very special thanks this time :)
u/Aurelia_Hathaway Thank you for this fantastic Eid al-Fitr card and goodies :) I am not Muslim, but before my current city (called Salem :) I lived in an area just blocks from the neighborhood mosque. I cannot resist sweets, so my first year there I made fast friends with my neighbors when the chebakia appeared! A few of my favorite Eid al-Fitr cookies are...I'm not sure what they are called. There are just huge trays filled with wonderful and mysterious cookie delights! I adore all teas, and I've been saving your sample for this upcoming weekend's tea tasting. I've received several teas from swaps and will be trying them all this weekend with friends. Thanks for your contribution! And thank you for the stamps, especially the beautiful imperial pigeon. I love pigeons and did not know there was a variety with this particular white and green coloring. Kelly is the name of of a shade of green popular in my area, my name literally means green bird.
u/on1oman1ac Thank for this adorable kitty party postcard! It reminds me of an Oatmeal cartoon I like so much I bought it in a jigsaw puzzle. WOW, your penmanship is incredible! I am so impressed and inspired. My handwriting is notoriously bad - and I promise I am trying to write neatly! I appreciate the time and care you put into this card. I'm going to keep up the efforts to write more clearly. The washi, the stamps, the postmark :) cuteness overload! I hope your studies were successful, and I wish you a safe and fun journey home!
u/lacuntessa Thank you for the gorgeous lenticular postcard of an aurora borealis in Norway! I love it so very much! I was lucky enough to visit Iceland, so the scene fits in perfectly with my existing postcards on display from that trip. Plus it arrived with perfect timing for my lenticular postcard play session with some kids. I had a small collection of lenticulars I mailed out and my littlest friends, and we got online to have fun "scratch the postcard and make the funny 'zip zip zip' sound on the card" sound creation adventures. (Different lenticular patterns make different pitches of 'zip zip zip')
u/disabledimmigrant Thank you dearly for this Alderney postcard! Can you believe this is my first maxicard!! I've been postcarding for many years now and this was truly such a joy to receive. I dream of visiting a Channel island! When I saw your postcard in my post office box I canceled my next errand and spent the next 30 minutes showing it off to the postal employees :) And texting it to all my friends irl :) They want to thank you too, because it made me very happy :) We don't have maxicards here in the USA, but the Washington DC Lantern Press postcard I sent I like to think of as the "Lantern Press" version of a maxicard. Normally, they can't be sent internationally without a customs form. My favorite postal clerk did us a favor and sent it regular mail, so I hope it arrives soon!
Thanks again, to everyone and their Random Acts of Cards!
