Post Body

Rather late with this April post; many thanks for all these lovely cards, and for everyone's (involuntary) patience! There's one where I'm not sure of the sender (ft. a 'These Violent Delights' book review), but would love to give due credit, so please have a look at the descriptions if this could be you!

u/haxan x3 - Thank you for the kitty bonanza! I didn't expect such a treat; I shall dispense the two extra cards and the ox stickers (I love, love how paper cut-outs look) with the reluctant longing they deserve. Best of luck with your life change this year, too.

u/DSHanson x2 - Thank you for the Kant postcard; coincidentally, I turned up quite a few postcards from the Bibliophilia series at a charity shop today. It's very cool that you've found philosophy buddies in your colleagues - how did this come about? And love the 'hillbilly livin' / energy savin'' postcard!

u/Ginger_ninjah x3 - Thank you for the Strange Planet cards (fantastic, a delight, and I do completely crave star damage) and the sunny wishes. Munching chocolate bunnies sounds like the best time ever!

u/Sparklingsnow46 - Thank you for the hand-made Easter card; I enjoyed the 3D egg!

u/bert50 - Thank you for the Mesa Verde National Park postcard, which is a stunning bit of art - and the Vancouver 2010 stamp is a neat bonus.

u/PinkPenguin - Thank you for the thank-you postcard(!), which has all my favourite things (cats, books, birds). I love the idea of your non-profit - who receives the plush penguins?

u/GP-Generalities - Thank you for the Naruto postcard, which tickles the weeb section of my soul. Fingers crossed for both of us being able to travel and see friends soon!

u/todayisfab x2 - Thank you for the Easter cards; I also genuinely gave a little yelp of delight when I saw the whole sheet of succulent stickers, which I love so much - thank you for those! I've realised that I've never done an easter egg hunt, which is simply outrageous.

u/thatchickbells - Thank you for the excellent vintage chick Easter card, stickers, and the cute little origami bunny!

u/snailmailer142 - Thank you for the Easter card - which, looking at it now, does actually give me a little hope - so a double thank-you. I love the little rabbit drawing on the envelope, and how you managed to convey depth and perspective in a line drawing.

u/Dapper_Road_6928 - Thank you for the Van Gogh glitter bomb, and those fantastic Kermit stickers (where on earth did you get it?).

u/plushestpossum x2 - Thank you for the robotics and wallaby postcards. I deeply envy you your arts festival - and your bountiful floofs aplenty! Huge appreciation for the cat tax (and I love that you had that to hand).

u/batcaved - Thank you for the lovely calligraphy! Also, that goldfish stamp set is to die for.

u/welshfancy - Thank you for your handmade card and artist list. What craft projects do you do at your local centre?

u/soxgal - Thank you for your card, stickers, and kind words. I've caught up on a lot(!) of reading; my baking has been...much less successful.

u/Ok_Peace4683 - Thank you for the Lunar New Year card - out-of-season holiday cards are always extra fun!

u/libertyprogrammer x2 - Thank you for the flair milestone congratulations card, and the RAoC anniversary postcard (hooray for both!). 8°C at midday is rough, by the way - is it always so chilly, and how do you survive?

u/kittycatcon - Thank you for the dancing cat card - all cats are lovely cats! Eska is such an elegant name (how did you choose it?); I just have the one instead of the hundreds I want, but I make up for it by giving him all the cuddles.

u/on1oman1ac - Thank you for the cat postcard (I'm a fan of the texture and the embossed design), which is impeccably written and formatted as ever. A feast for my eyes. Love that interaction with the cashier - at least it gave you a benchmark, so you can take proper satisfaction in how much your Mandarin has improved since! Although, maybe it was a regional accent/dialect thing? That's what I'd try to tell myself!

u/wabisabi_sf x3 - Thank you for these excellent cards; I've already marked one of the blank cards out for an appreciative home! Did you travel specifically for the stamp show? Plus, shoutout to your envelope design.

u/Findrane - Thank you for the beautiful dog card, and the puppy progress updates. Sending you many hugs for Henry; he looks like the best of boys. I want a dog so badly, but I think my cat would feel differently!

u/jskinator - Thank you for the hilariously steamy 'Marriage Can Wait' postcard! And good luck on the certification - add oil!

u/ez330 - Thank you for the handmade travel card! London is super touristy, but rightly so - central London one of my favourite places, and I appreciate it all the more for having travelled to so many cities that don't really seem alive. If you think you'll like the Cotswolds, you'd probably also enjoy the Lake District. Oxford and Cambridge are also personal favourites!

u/elephant-jane x2 - Thank you for these postcards (love me an artfully nude lady), and the thousand stickers, each of them so pretty!

u/cswl - Thank you for the Easter and congratulations cards, and the generous washi swatch. The only way to celebrate a milestone flair is, naturally, to send out even more!

u/disabledimmigrant x7 - Thank you for the many cards, even during my lull - I received two (very soggy, so reading is trickier than one would like) the day before yesterday, which finally incentivised me to make this post. I shall write out replies tomorrow!

u/High_On_Teemoshrooms - Thank you for the Ljubljana postcard, and the pet photos - so very many pets, heavenly, 10/10 setup. I love how two out of three cats are unrepentantly squishing your poor houseplants, and looking like they're the ones offended. Thank you for the tea, which I'm going to save for a cold evening - it does say fruit tea, but it's giving me delicious mulled wine spice smells.

u/Slavkan12 x3 - Thank you for the nature cards and the generous sprinkling of goodies; the mushroom stamps were well-chosen acquisitions (and no need to practise placement: they were - artfully awry). I have such a love-hate relationship with mushrooms - shuddering admiration. Another thank-you for the postcard (Ghibli, lovely); I shall reply in kind!

MYSTERY SENDER u/xcdo - the card mentions that I claimed it in February, but I've had a trawl of my comments that month and can't seem to find the post, sorry! The card is of a cartoon/illustrated fawn, and the message contains a review of 'These Violent Delights' by Chloe Gong, which sounds fascinating and has gone onto my wishlist.
