As always dear friend, thank you for the happy mail (x3)! I got this in early April, actually, but have been busy at work so saved it for when I can show the proper appreciation. Here it is!
I love how you collaged the envelope together with seemingly random textures of paper to still make an aesthetically pleasing cohesive whole. That brown-gold look definitely reminds me of you and your favourite colour scheme.
And you know I'm absolutely always all over your doodles! I absolutely know the procrastination you're talking about, but I find it oddly amusing how you started with avoiding an animation project but ended up drawing anyway, even if it was fanart instead, haha. I feel those tangents so hard when it comes to procrastination! You wrote this on a card depicitng the most peaceful setting of a paper boat floating on a mirror-still lake reflecting the star-studded night sky above and it's just glorious. I'm planning to take this to the office put up at my cubicle at work!
You also gave me this most adorable Cat and Dog postcard (aaaaaaaa so cute!) and Frida Kahlo stationary/envelope set which is just amazing, I love how the first thing you see when you open the envelope are her eyebrows. Amazing and hilarious surprise - definitely going to employ this for a friend's birthday card.
Thank you too for the garden creatues, viking birds and Hogwarts house stickers! Those along with the other ephemera made me smile, but not as much as the things contain within the little blue envelope with a sad face on and a note that says "open me when you need a hug". There were so many happy little things inside in all sort of colours and themes and it absolutely put the biggest grin on my face. When I first opened it I had a look through and then sealed it back up just so I could have the joy of opening it again later to get that sunshine from all the items within, and I think I'll be doing this again and again :)
You're a wonderful friend, and I'm so lucky to have met you too. Big Hugs!
