[Thank You] For Many Heart-Felt Kitty Condolences

This is very late, but it's because the furry love of my life passed away in December. [Post about it: here]

Cards: Here

I had the cards hung up in my home in Bastet's last days, as I held her in my arms as she passed, and the days after, including when I got her ashes back. However, after that I completely shut down and couldn't bear to see the cards for awhile. Nothing against anyone that sent me anything, but I've been deep in my grief and needed time to process before trying to open up that hurt again. I appreciate all of you.

That being said, this is going to be a bit spicy but: I understand that this thank you is multi-months late - but I had multiple people message me repeatedly about if I received the cards [kinda understandable] or when I was going to make a thank you post. I couldn't get back to you because I could barely function, and tbqh it was a bit insensitive knowing what the cards were sent for in the first place. I know I don't do offers/requests often, but from my history it's clear I do thank yous for any cards I receive.

Despite this, all of the cards meant so much to me, and I owe many a thank you.

/u/chippydoodoo - They really do take a part of us when they leave, don't they?
/u/retrorabbit79 - I'm so sorry to hear about your buns. I have an urn with her ashes as of right now but I do plan on having some jewelry made from them as well
/u/TheFeistyFox - This postcard made me smile, because Bastet definitely always attacked my pens/pencils when she was younger.

/u/malozing_running x2 - Thank you for the Earth Blessings and the greetings from Rei. I'm so sorry to hear about Sor-Kwah. It's still hard for me to not be angry that cancer took Bastet as well, but I know it'll be easier to deal with in time. Love never dies.
/u/jtm_sea x2 - Thank you for the hand drawn/painted Bast statue cards. I kept them both near her when she passed, along with the statues I have of the goddess as well
/u/rhapsodytravelr - Thank you for the cute beach card and the proverb inside. It definitely provided some comfort

/u/onedarkandstormyknit - Thank you for your kind words. She truly is/was one of the best
/u/honeymallow - Thank you for the cute vintage card and the kind words.
/u/birdiebennett - Thank you so much for the kind words and I'm so sorry about your birdie. It really and truly feels like the heart breaks. Just as much pain and grief as any person I've lost in my life.

/u/desrae2002 - Thank you for the condolences card. I'm sorry to hear of you baby that passed in 2020. It has definitely been an absolute upheaval of change since she's been one, especially in regards to my other cat at home. Bastet was 17, and I had her since she was a kitten. Half of my life we spent together.
/u/findrane - Thank you for the rainbow bridge card. Grief really is love with nowhere to go anymore.
/u/xJaneDoe - Thank you for the sympathy card. It's genuinely unfair that we can't keep them longer.

/u/AlfredTheButt-ler - Thank you so much for the handmade card, I love it. I have it pinned up around some pictures I have of her.
/u/josephineismyhero - Thank you for the cute Oscar Wilde kitty card
/u/sleepycatbeans - [I love your username] Thank you so much for the cute card and kind words. Bastet certainly was the cat I've bonded with the strongest throughout the ears.

/u/hollypdx - Thank you for the kind words and condolences card. I definitely have lost a piece of my heart but I also know she lives on in me.
/u/cswl - Thank you for the sympathy card
/u/orangewolpertinger [love your username] - Thank you for the cute tabby card and kind words, and great stickers

/u/kittycatcon - Thank you for the handmade card. I know time won't heal my wounds but i'll help me learn to carry the pain
/u/annoyinglangers - Thank you so much for the cute xmas cat card and your very kind words. It's ice to hear genuine support from a stranger that pet grief is just as potent, if not moreso, than 'human' grief.
/u/hockeycoach14 - Thank you for the cute cat emoticon card

/u/relax455 - Thank you so much for the handmade pawprint card. She definitely was the best companion.
/u/georgish x3 - Thank you so much for the multiple cards. I especially love the Bastet/museum card, it was perfect for my girl. We really were soulmates, and she definitely was my familiar. I know we'll see each other again one day, and she's waiting for me to tell me everything that happened while she was gone.
/u/Lethbridge-Totty - Thank you for the handmade card, and I'm so sorry about your loss as well. I also love the Alice stamp you sent!

/u/commercial_ad4033 - Thank you so much for the handdrawn card, it's quite adorable. I hope she's up there in the clouds/stars too.
/u/on1oman1ac x3 - Thank you so much for the multiple cards, they're all so precious. [I actually received #2/3 last month, so it seemed to want to take the long route] also I love your handwriting! It's so neat and tidy. I know that Bastet will continue to live on in myself, but her void in my life is incredibly painful. And Dickens' quote is true, there is no greater gift than a cat's love.
/u/Ok-Dish-17 - I cannot put in words how much your drawing means to me. It has become almost sacred to me and I have it hung up in my office so I can see it every day, next to the picture you used as reference. You are so incredibly talented and I am so humbled you'd give me such a beautiful work of yours for free. You've captured her incredibly.

/u/erahoneywell - Thank you for the sympathy card and the kind and supportive words

Unknown/No username but has a signature maybe?

- Small chickadee card from Cornell Lab of Ornithology, inside is a portion of Poe's 'The Raven'. It has a signature and maybe a 'EAP' or 'LEAP' inside?
