Post Body

My mom is one of the kindest, most generous people I know. And on Friday she was let go from a job she had for over three years. The owner of the small education company didn't say much, but insinuated that it was a business decision. The optics aren't good, because it looks and feels like he chose to keep the other more "popular" people rather than my mom who handles to messy-but-necessary work of phone calls with parents, dealing with proposals and insurance, etc. The company was started by the owner's late wife actually, who my mom became friends with before she passed, so it sounds extra difficult for my mom to have been forced out of a place that she enjoyed working for. She was VERY good at what she did and I'm so stunned and hurt for her.

That leads me to why I'm making the request. I would be thrilled for others to show and/or tell her that she deserves kindness and compassion (that this owner didn't show her). I don't think she wants to look for a job for a while or ever, however. I think instead, she would love cards or messages that focus on positive qualities (like her compassion and her intelligence) or uplifting images. She loves geometric shapes and designs, simplistic florals, cute cats or bunnies, and travel destinations. I'll see her a couple of times before she leaves on a trip in a couple weeks. Thank you for *your* kindness in helping me show her she's unique and important no matter what.
