As the title says, it was fun to have something to look forward to in the mail most nights this week! :)
u/cswl Thank you for the St. Patrick's Day postcard! My family used to be better about exchanging St. Patrick's Day greetings when I was younger but we've kind of let the tradition drop as we've all gotten older and moved away from each other. It was fun to exchange with you!
u/redtail19898 Thank you for the vintage Oregon trail postcard! Love that this was from 1993. It was only a few years later that I started playing the computer game, lol. Thanks for your interesting answer to my know the past/know the future prompt! I enjoyed thinking about this one myself.
u/gallopaint Thank you for the postcard from Maryland! That looks like an interesting spot to visit (C&O Towpath). I've only been to Maryland once but I'd like to go back and do more exploring some time!
u/haxan Thank you for the Santorini postcard! Your tiny, beautiful handwriting is amazing and I can't believe you were able to fit that gorgeous poem on there in its entirety. Loved everything about this! Thank you!
u/sooclevereh Thank you for the stamp exchange!! I love the barns! It's the weekend so I have time to write some more postcards and I'm looking forward to using these soon! Have fun with those fishies, lol.
u/CaptivatingApple Thank you for the Matisse postcard from MoMA. I love it! I do enjoy Matisse in all his phases. In fact, I recently did a Matisse paper cut out art project with the kids I nanny for and they loved it!
u/wildCaliforniaRoll Thank you for the postcard of the USS Iowa. I looked it up on Wikipedia and it sounds like it had quite an interesting life, so thank you for sharing about it. I'm sure the museum is fascinating!
u/ExcessiveCharm I LOVE the Wilson's Warblers. I hadn't heard of them before- they don't live in my part of the world. However, I'm with you on being excited about seeing yellow birds. We get our share of goldfinches at the bird feeder at work (I nanny for a family where the dad loves feeding the birds :). They supposedly live here year round, but we really only see them in the warmer months, so that flash of yellow at the feeder is always a sure signal of the return of spring!
u/mamastrawb What can I say? Thank you for the beautiful lilies and the goodies within. This was a fantastic surprise and I loved every bit of it. Your card came on the last dreary day of a long stretch of dreary weather. The bonus postcards you picked are like you actually know me, even though we have never exchanged before. SO MUCH FUN! Thank you!
