• u/Libertyprogrammer: I already got your mail a week ago and I'm very embarrased that I can't find it right now, but I think it was from you (let me know if not!). I got a card and also a two page letter. Thank you so much! I've been a bit half brained because my attention was focused on Russia's invasion of Ukraine so much, which is directly affecting both my Ukrainian friends and also some coworkers. I'm hoping that peace can be restored soon and that the culprits will be held accountable!
  • Edit to add: I found your card & letter again, adding some detail: The painted beach scene was very well done, I didn't even realize at first glance that it was painted. I agree with you that the water colour/texture is superb (I'm less convinced by the clouds). Thanks also for the printed letter in response to my typewritten one - I'll have to think about whether to handwrite, typewrite or print my next one to you!
• u/Intrepid-Researcher: Thanks for your gorgeous nature card from your country! I mostly played video games as a teenager, although I also played more as an adult than I should! I like strategy games (e.g. XCOM / XCOM 2). So cool that you're making a animated film! I'd love to see if it when it's done (if you'd like to share). Lately my mind has been all focused on Ukraine because I have friends and coworkers from there. I might write more details on a future card!
• u/PinkPengin: Thank you for the Penguin card! You are quite right in your assessment of your new mailbox stamp, it is amazing! This card took about twice as long to get here than average, in general I've observed that my own cards lately have also been slow, I wonder if the international postal system is struggling especially lately.
• u/AppleCritter723 x4: Thank you for ALL the cards and all the stories! I loved reading them! The residency for my partner was actually super easy (thank you, European Union!) and is now all sorted. Yay! I can highly recommend that gelato class - I haven't tried making any since then and don't even have the equipment but it was really cool and we learned a lot about the company. Those classes book out several months in advance, but if you ever visit the area, I think it's totally worth it. Your cabin adventure sounds like such a nightmare! Way worse than my 'butcher' story :-( I hope your loved ones weren't too traumatised! I'm happy to hear that you're also a board game fan, perhaps we should try an online game some day? In 2020 I was playing a ton of board games on boardgamearena.com, although it's been a while now since I played. Our holiday is coming up soon (if it happens - there's a chance that it might not, I'll tell you more when I write). Sorry, I haven't written to you in so many weeks, and now my mind is on Putin's invasion of Ukraine all the time. Ugh. P.S. Thanks for the stickers that came with the card that was in an envelope! Before I realized that it was from you, I first thought it might be an envelope that was returned to me, because of the sticker on the back. Looks familiar indeed, haha! Re. your move mountains card, I can relate to the sentiment!
