Last week was stressful, I think I only mailed one card to a dear friend. This week I came down with Shingles. (Caused by stress and the chicken pox virus.) My body/head is on fire with 10,000 stabbings of pin pricks. Every single hair follicle HURTS! It hurts to move my eyebrows and even my eye movements ache. My neck is stationary bc of the pain and the touch of anyone or anything is excruciating. I don’t want get well cards, I’m requesting happy mail please bc I’m hoping by the time the cards arrive I’ll be able to smile without pain.

I’ll write back to each person who leaves a returning address. I’ll thank each person who sent a card last week as soon as I can move without pain. Side note: if you’ve ever had chicken pox there is a 67% chance you’ll never have Shingles — for the love of your future self get the Shingle shot anyways!! My husband got his Shingles shot yesterday and I’ll be getting a Shingles shot as soon as I’m healthy. (I’m not telling you what to do bc I’m not a doctor, talk to your own physician about the Shingles shot. I just don’t want anyone else to have this pain.)
