(Warning: Rant in the next paragraph, feel free to skip. Also the general tone of this post is kinda depressed)

So basically, I just canceled my participation in the last important exam this semester because I felt I couldn't do it. I know it was the right choice, but it still makes me feel bad about myself, because it means I basically got nothing done this semester. It sucks, I know what went wrong with my studying (I just can't seem to get to know people in online lectures, but I also can't really study alone), I know I'll get through it, but it still sucks.

When I come out of a high-stress phase like this, I often struggle to do anything I don't have to. Work is helping because it gives my day structure, but I only work part-time and also need to do something pleasant to find my way out of this hole. That's where you come in.

I know that writing and sending a card always cheers me up and also gets me out of the house (just for going to the mailbox, but it helps). Therefore, I'd like to find nine people that will poke me to send them mail :)

Here's how I'd like to do this: I've got the following choice of cards:

• Food (vegan or not vegan, let me know)
• Women in Science
• Studio Ghibli
• Snarky comic card in German, I'll try my best to translate

Comment below with an item that doesn't belong on your desk but is still sitting there anyways :) I'll comment on the first nine replies to let you know you made it. Please sent me a PM with your address, what kind of card you want and a prompt, and I'll let you know the date I'm planning to send your card on. If you can, please poke me again on the day with something like "Hey, did you send my card yet?" so I can have some accountability.
