[Thank You] so much mail, mostly from u/AppleCritter723 :D

  • u/AppleCritter723 x7: My goodness, you're sending me cards so often that they're arriving like water from a firehose!
    • Thanks for your sunspot postcard - I love that set of postcards and have bought four (!) copies, but have only completely used up the first set (currently working my way through the second and have posted that same postcard just a few weeks ago). I am generally most interested in the bodies of the solar system, in particular those that are most plausibly home to present or past extraterrestrial life (Mars, Europa, Enceladus, Titan, Io, Callisto, Ganymede) based on our current understanding.
    • The world's smallest obligatory card was wonderful! How did you make something so pretty, so small! And even with addresses, postmark, sealing wax etc. on its tiny envelope! I think this among my favourite things that I've received from you, along with the next piece of mail:
    • Thank you soo much for telling me about your wedding experience and also including photos! I loved them, hopefully you get to dress fancy and have a party/re-enactment from time to time (maybe in New Zealand?!?). You're wonderful, thank you! ❤️ Thanks for the photos from your holiday too, along with the notes! ❤️
    • That story with the neighbor - I don't understand how those people's brains work! I've had similar discussions with coworkers and I cannot comprehend how people can behave so recklessly and then still believe that they're in the right - humans' capacity to tolerate cognitive dissonance is truly staggering. I've been isolating to the extreme since March 2020 and I'm totally with you on these matters. Such a shame that enough people are going crazy that things got as bad as they are now :-(
    • Thanks for the 'Earth from Apollo 4' card! That's one of my favourite Apollo photos, together with the Moonrise photo from Apollo 8 (I don't think that that one is in that set). I'm impressed that you found matching washi tape, too!
    • Those baby sea turtles are so cute! I hope that they got back to their doting parents or into their natural environment / the sea okay.
    • That Mayan temple (?) looks cool! Some day I'll have to go on vacation in central America.
  • u/baredoim: I'm not 100% sure if this letter is from you (there was no username and the style of the envelope was different than normal), but your name and the country matches so I think it's from you :) Thanks for the birthday card & letter! I eat more chocolate and cheese than is good for me, and I also love cake - I bake my favourite cake recipe once every three months or so, sadly it's too fragile to ship or else I would have offered to send you one! Do you have a favourite recipe?
  • u/GP_Generalities: Thanks so much for your unexpected birthday card with the holiday theme! So sweet of you, and it even arrived well on time which isn't easy to achieve over this distance and with the little warning you had! If you ever come to Germany then I'd love to give you some suggestions and potentially even meet up, let me know! I used to live in your country (although in a different city) and had a great time.
  • u/2dogsintheyard: Thanks for your beautiful hand-made birthday card with what looks like it might be your own photo on the front? You have a good eye for photos, I like the composition. You were the fourth person to ever send me a card through RAoC, thank you so much for sending me another one (this one was #169 overall, the last six months have just flown past!).
  • u/comingtogetyoubabs: Thanks for the pretty beach postcard (sent inside an envelope)! I didn't know this island existed even though I must have come sort of past it. I enjoyed the beaches when I visited your country, but these days I much prefer mountains and mountain lakes over the sea.
