I used to live on the southern hemisphere myself and it still feels to me like Christmas just didn't happen those years but I don't mind at all because a summer party with your friends is arguably even nicer than Christmas!

This is one of my top destinations I want to go to - I was in the area once but was running late on the day that I was supposed to go to Maligne Lake so I missed out. I actually planned to come back in 2020 but then the pandemic happened - hopefully I'll be back some day!
