Depression? Isn’t that just a fancy word for feeling “bummed out”? (Dwight you ignorant slut) -The Office

I have many cards and stamps. I also have depression and anxiety and know how empty and unhelpful it is when people just tell you “happiness is a choice” or just a “state of mind”. Sometimes being told “Just be positive!” makes me feel worse.
