I posted in the RAoC meta group at the beginning of this week that I was away for a little while and then returned home with some health issues, so am very behind on my cards and thank yous. I've been feeling a bit better the past two days, and am now able to read and write for short periods without vertigo (woohoo!) so have been writing my cards and slowly going through all of my lovely post. So without further ado, thank you all so much for the most amazing stack of happy mail β€οΈ
u/Tigerhueterin x2 - The biggest sorry for the delay in thanks is for you, because I think one of your postcards came the day after I left, so it has been waiting very patiently! The wolf postcard is so mysterious and I really like how it's in black and white. I also LOVE the poison dart frog postcard; especially how the frogs' bright colours pop against the darker background π Can't wait to send you some mail soon! β€οΈ
u/babyraspberry x3 - Big thanks for the World Postcard Day postcard, as well as the extra card and stickers βΊοΈ. The chocolate stamps sound really cool, but I think I'd also be reluctant to taste them when they'd been traveling through the post π
u/mmmyesplease--- x2 - I love the postcards you sent! The first one is super cute with the little artist on the mountain painting the jet stream of the plane. Your message on the back is such a great attitude to have and I'm definitely going to be using that phrase β€οΈ I'm also so grateful for the Le Petit Prince postcard; it's beautiful and going straight in my wall βΊοΈ
u/Lydi-ahaha x3 - I love all the cat postcards and cat facts; you're little cat drawing is adorable too β€οΈ. I didn't know the one about hunting in their dreams, which is really cool - I bet you find yourself watching your cats as they sleep now π
u/wabisabi_sf x3 - You have SPOILED me with these postcards! I am so in love with the John Wick postcard and I can't even put into words how amazing it is β€οΈ Adding the pencil sticker to the back was just the piΓ¨ce de resistence! I put it straight on my wall so I can see it everyday π The World Postcard Day postcard is great and I loved the fact of when postcards were officially recognised by the Austrian Post! Finally, thank you so much for the Halloween postcard - there's so many little details in it! On Halloween night I was watching scary movies and handing out as much sweets/chocolates as the kids could carry π The inflatable T-Rex costume sounds AMAZING!
u/SamathaYoga - The oiseaux d'Afrique postcard you sent for World Postcard Day is really cool; I especially love the perroquet you-you π It was a nice bonus that it got postmarked on October 1st as well π
u/Ignacia x2 - Oh my, you're so very talented! I love your interpretation of my dancing jellyfish prompt; it's so cute and there's so many little details in it β€οΈ The drawings on the envelope are such a fantastic bonus as well!
u/CH037866 - Your special effect card is amazing and I've spent ages looking at how the mechanics of it work! You're incredibly talented β€οΈ I loved reading about your favourite places in the UK and I feel like you can't be here without having a favourite Fish and Chip place π
u/baredoim - Thank you so much for the Halloween card! I love all the different washis and the cute little stickers that you included β€οΈ Pumpkin carving is always fun - I sometimes plan out what I'm going to carve beforehand and other times I just wing it - I think my favourite duo was when I did a tiny pumpkin with a scary face and a really big pumpkin that looked worried.
u/babyraspberry x2 - Your Halloween card is ADORABLE! β€οΈ. There's so many stickers and washi that I was in Halloween Heaven! The cartoon stickers of dogs in Halloween costumes are the absolute cutest π. Your costume idea is brilliant too - it'd definitely be a showstopper!
u/on1oman1ac - I wish I could reply in Cebuano, but I am very much not fluent! Thank you so much for the Bibingka postcard and for writing so neatly that I was able to translate your note β€οΈ (or at least think I translated everything correctly!). I loved learning about the things you'd change about the recipe - interesting that there's no butter and using coconut milk sounds so good. I can't think of anything we have here that would necessarily be similar, but with the holidays approaching I'd love to send you one of my favourite cookie recipes π
u/libertyprogrammer x2 - A huge thank you for the beautiful card congratulating me on my flair milestone and all your kind words β€οΈ. You also included some truly beautiful stickers that I can't wait to use π
u/sugarmagandjohn x7 - I am completely blown away by your envelope full of happiness! I loved reading about your delightful furbaby and all the things you love about Autumn - it was so full of excitement and feeling! The extra postcards are lovely (I especially like the "fresh" toast one!), the origami heart is beautiful and the playlist is fantastic (Once is one of my favourite musicals, purely for the song Falling Slowly π). I could go on and on, but just know all the effort and creativity you poured into my happy post is truly appreciated β€οΈ
u/BitchImGhastly x2 - The cat pop-up card you made is so cool - I have spent quite a bit of time making the cat talk! π I love that you wrote a message for them to read too β€οΈ The Halloween washi tape samples you included are simply BOOtiful - they're all lovely, but I think the metallic bat one if my favourite βΊοΈ
u/purplemermaid16 - Thank you for the cute mermaid card, they're adorable! I really like how you did the bubble cutouts - it's quite clever π I imagine it's gotten quite a bit colder there now and the leaves have started to fall; there's definitely a lot more on the ground here now!
u/SatanekoChan x2 - The Portovenere postcard you sent is really beautiful β€οΈ The colours the artist used in the buildings and the water are so mesmerising, I can imagine what it must be like to be there in person! I also received a Botanicum postcard from you of beautifully illustrated algae; I'm really glad you liked the Ponds of Britain postcard - it was one of my favourites from that series π
u/traechat - I really like the postcard of the moss-covered Western Red cedars you sent; it's eerily pretty and walking through those woods would certainly let the imagination run wild! I enjoyed reading your poem on the back and it definitely suited the postcard β€οΈ
u/Internet_Creep_SM - The fries postcard is amazing and now I can't help looking at the hashtag and picturing fries π Curly fries are amazing! I also love waffle fries (there's a pub not far from me that used to serve the best waffle fries and then for some reason unbeknownst to me they just took them off the menu - truly a devastating time! π
