Follow up round of Halloween thank you's! I'm sure there will be more stragglers with the postal service still limping so I'll make a separate post for those later.
Follow up loot pics: here
The rest of the thank you's below:
/u/tigerlady13 x 2 - Thank you for the adorable skeleton card as well as probably the largest and strangest postcard I've received to date lmao. My SO was like 'is that a giant baby postcard???' Yes, yes it is. I also appreciate the Untamed Wilderness card to remind me the rule of 3's when it comes to dying in the wilderness LOL
/u/cowboybug7 - The owls are not what they seem~ I love this owl card! My favorite TP characters are the Log Lady, Coop, and Hawk! I stayed in again this year, but I celebrate Samhain, which I usually keep pretty chill. [Which goes nicely with the Halloween fear fact you provided] Also I LOVE those sloth Halloween stickers!
/u/nohumidity - Thank you for the cute spider card! Loved the web texture
/u/ihave_thoughts - Thank you for the gorgeous autumn card and stickers! My favorite part of the season is definitely everything being spoopy, but also the cooler weather! [It's still been in the 80's here in TX... ugh.]
/u/djclapyohands - Thank you for the adorable ghost/mansion card!
/u/bluedecemberart - Thank you for the haunted home card and stickers. I LOVE that bird skull pattern.
/u/ribeyecut - Thank you for the cute cat card and the letter! I'm not a big fan of the Conjuring series, besides the original. I didn't even watch La Llorona because I knew it was probably going to be bad. La Llorona is such a big legend here in TX because of it's roots south of the border that it's very much ingrained in the sort of societal web that I also knew it was probably going to be disrespectful. I have friends who don't even like people saying her name because of how ingrained her legend is in their culture. I almost prefer that than see someone's rendition of it, if that makes sense. Your favorites are classics, though! Because I also love to read horror, over October I actually read the book that Rosemary's Baby is based on, as well as Legion, which is the sequel to the Exorcist [it's what the third movie is based on]. After reading the book I can say that Rosemary's Baby is probably the closest book-to-movie horror adaptation I've ever seen. It's pretty much exactly the same! I'm glad you're enjoying your RAOC time! I do very seldom little offer/exchanges around the year but then explode out cards for the Halloween and Xmas time, only to kinda go back into hibernation until the next year lol
/u/bree867 - Thank you for the wicked witch card too! [as well as the astral card from my last thank you post]
/u/evil_snicker - Thank you for the handmade card! I love all of the paper you used. Do you remember where you got the bat washi? It's kinda watercolor-looking. I loved it a whole lot!
/u/colorlessmurakami - Thank you for the handmade witch card! I definitely always haunt it ;]
/u/rockinroller2028 - Thank you for this awesome handmade/written letter! I love me some wax seals. Austin is a pretty old [maybe around the same age as Ft Worth?], so there is some good haunted stuff here! Including a very very haunted hotel [The Driskill Hotel] as well as that Austin had a serial killer that terrorized before Jack the Ripper, but was pretty much just as brutal in the 1800's! Their name was the Servant Maid Annihilator. [Yes, that was their actual moniker]. I haven't read the Amityville book[s], but over October I read the book for Rosemary's Baby and Legion, which is the sequel to the Exorcist. Those three all were first popular around the same time, I think. Your movie suggestions are all on point. The Descent is a favorite, for sure. I personally like to re-watch the VVitch/Witch, Hellraiser, and Trick R Treat around Halloween. A new horror I just saw for the first time over October was called I Trapped the Devil, and it was pretty good! Little indy movie, lots of dread and suspense. Also that skelly-kitty sticker in the letter was adorable.
