I recently lost my hero, my Dad, to a freak ranching accident and I am not coping well. He was the greatest man I ever knew. He was a patriot who served his country for over 30 years as an officer in the Air Force (before that he was enlisted in the Army during Vietnam as a helicopter rescue pilot where he was shot, sent home to heal, and went right back to help save more lives), and gave me an amazing childhood living in so many amazing places! After he retired, he fulfilled his life long dream of having a longhorn cattle ranch (he was a proud Texan). He was one of the lucky ones who died doing something he absolutely loved, but it was so unexpected and so sudden it truly has me struggling. He was always my foundation and my safe place and I keep picking up the phone to call him about silly little things until I remember.
If anyone would be so kind as to send some happy mail with something uplifting or some advice I would be forever grateful. I would also like to send a thank you card back to you if you’d like. Just slip a piece of paper in the envelope with your info on it and I will know I may send something to you. Thank you all for taking the time to read just a tiny bit about my Dad’s truly amazing life. And thank you for considering sending me something to help!
