Robert Mapplethorpe was an incredible photographer who is best known for his black and white austere photographs of flowers and male nudes. Some of his work became very controversial because of homoerotic and sadomasochistic themes. He contracted AIDS and bravely chronicled his illness in self portrait photography. I have been a big fan of his work and his artistic courage for a long time.

I found some amazing cards featuring some of his color photography of flowers. My photo here doesn’t do justice to the color and detail of these cards. I’ve been waiting for a while to get stamps that I ordered online and just found out they are finally arriving today. So I’m excited to make an offer!
