When my husband received his first card from you guys, he couldn't believe it was for him! I explained to him that there will be more cards and I haven't seen him smiling so much in a while. He's been having a hard time with a job he doesn't like and with a College course he's been taking for the last 1.5 years. His final exams are in September and he's going through everything he's learned for hours each day. But now, every day he comes home and asks me: "Did I get any mail?" and on most days there was at least one card for him. He can't believe that strangers would take the time to write to him and he has never received any mail before.
I can't even begin to express to you, how thankful I am for every single card! Thank you so, so much for sending him cards and thank you for being so wonderful! This community is amazing and writing and receiving cards is the most rewarding hobby I've ever had :)
u/onelittlericeball Your card was the very first one my husband received and he was so happy! I explained to him, that there will be more cards to follow and he's been happy ever since. Did you make the card yourself? It's so cute :)
We miss going on holidays a lot. We usually go to the UK and we love the beaches there. We wander around for hours and look for seashells and pretty stones. But this year (and the last one) we couldn't go and we miss it so much. We will go camping with our van, as soon as the weather is a bit better, but other than that, we will stay home. I hope the weather will get better for your time in Lausanne! Und happy erschte Auguscht! (trotz em Räge) :)
u/achavva Please say hi to your two furbabies! We have 4 cats and a German Shepherd – and they are all crazy!
My husband's favourite memory is when I asked him to marry me in Rome (I'm so glad you asked this question, now I know and it's so sweet). Our advice on marriage/life would be: Talk to each other and laugh a lot! The most important thing is to communicate and it's best to laugh a lot together. After 20 years together, this is what we can tell other couples :)
u/CanadianMapleSyrup How interesting, that Saturn would float in water! Thank you so much for your beautiful Pacman Nebula card and the cool stickers. I hope, "stage 3" is working out for you… here, most restrictions have been lifted and life feels much more normal now.

u/Tinawebmom Your handmade card is wonderful, thank you so much! I hope it's not too hot anymore – we would love some nice weather here. It's still wet and cold. The place where you live sounds awesome! So much to do and see… we'd love to visit one day :)

We watched Black Widow last week and we were not terribly impressed. We're looking forward to Eternals and Shang Chi too…but we have to wait until next year. Until then we have time to rewatch the other movies :)

I checked out "Starfish" and it's really cool :) My husband listens to Rammstein and Peter Maffay at the moment. Both sing in German and we are looking forward to a time, when we can go to concerts post Covid.
