Has it really been a year since we were in the midst of the pandemic ? Covid has some big balls if it things I’m going to wish it a Happy Birthday/ or a Happy Anniversary !!

The only silver lining in this super ugly cloud is all of you, who for better or worse (unfortunately,better for me worse for you) have become my extended family. You have all helped me in more ways than you could know, and helped me get through this atrocious year, which like Rudolph’s nose will go down in history !!! Wait, was it his nose or Rudolph dragging Big Boy Santa around the globe the reason he would go down in history. It never occurred to me that Rudolph may have been partaking in lots of Holiday Sprits (Moscow mules, vodka, brandy) and that’s why his nose is red. As usual, I digress... I would like to sincerely Thank you with all of my butt (I say butt because it’s way bigger than my heart)

It must have been hell without electricity and water... maybe not exactly hell because that would be warmer. When I was younger, I never fully appreciated the Chronicles of Narnia, but as an adult, it is more enjoyable with every re-read.

The couldn’t agree with you more, the best part of summer is grilling, hands down. Me and my brother in law, agree to disagree on grilling meat. He always in my mind undercooked everything and I always overcook meat !! So when he grills, I always say, “This is what cannibalism must feel like”, and when he eats mine, without fail, he always says, “Have you thought about opening your own line of jerky ? Because I’m sure there is someone who would have never thought a Hot Dog could be jerky” I have not seen Coming to America 2. It’s weird, you’d think I would have watched more movies, and read more books, but I haven’t. I missed the Wonder Woman 1984, the Denzel Washington movie (Hubba Hubba I love Denzel). I will check out Coming to America and Parasite, and thank you so much for the card !!

Not this past September but the September before, we all took a family trip to Disneyland in Anaheim. We did Universal Studios one day, and Disneyland the next, and we got those Disney passes. So my niece and I had already ridden the cars rides so many times, but then my dad wasn’t going to use his pass along with my sister’s mother-in- law, so we took their passes and rode it again !! My niece and I have a very low scary threshold, and so this was about as daring as we were willing to get !! So your card brought back all those happy memories ☺️ P.S. I’m getting spoiled with Netflix and Hulu where I can binge watch a whole season, and now I don’t have the patience to wait for the next episode on Prime Time TV. I saw the Spring Break crowds on the news, and I couldn’t believe how many people were there, it was totally insane !! ☺️

Initially I thought I would use it for travel, because you can’t lug books around, but unfortunately that’s exactly what I did. I can’t even tell you how many books I took when I went to London. I had to leave a few in the hotel, so hopefully someone got to read them, and take them home. I love the painting, and don’t apologize for it not being one in Impressionism, it’s a beautiful painting. It reminded me of the book, “The light between Oceans”, which was a nice book, but liked the movie better, which is usually the opposite right ? I love Alicia Viksander and Michael Fastbender. I’m looking forward to museums opening up again... someday, hopefully soon. ☺️

Oddly, I don’t even know how I missed the whole mission to Mars, and only realized it when the Perseverance Rover landed. I can’t wait to see more pictures. The note that the unknown is terrifying, but also inspires us to be greater, is very, very true. But I will never go into space, unless I was drugged. Michigan the cases have gone up, but in the younger age brackets, they’re saying either we have the variant, or because of strict lockdown we’re just going through what other states went through early on... I mean everyday we’re learning something, but until then “HOME is where my ass should be” Thank you for the pun card !! It’s so cute, and I always love a good pun ! I don’t know if your fan of The Office, but Moo-Lala reminded me of The Office episode where Michael had plans to open a men’s shoe line called Shoe-Lala !! ☺️

My malti-chon has gone through all my favorite stuffed toys (I’m a hoarder of the worst kind... I have notes from high school) and murdered them all like a serial killer, so my childhood favorites are now empty carcasses, because he likes to eat the stuffing. My sisters dogs are so good, they cuddle their toys and are protective, and my little Satan is oddly protective of balled up socks, he carries them around in his mouth like a Grenade that had its pin pulled out, and then he lays it down carefully... and then cuddles it. My bed has like 6 of his sock babies under the pillows. I think he’s nesting. 😜

The people are wonderful, but things happen at their own pace, you can’t rush it !! I used to ride this little bus, because I initially didn’t have a car, but I mean the island is literally one road, but they have this interesting tradition, when you get into the bus, you must greet everyone and say hello !! I learned that lesson quickly when I got on the bus, didn’t know the tradition and so I sat down, and the driver started to drive and then pulled over and asked me to get off. He then explained and I apologized to everyone and it’s crazy how a smile and a proper hello, can make all the difference !! Thank you for the book recommendation, I will definitely look it up ☺️

I have seen every movie or mini series adaptation of the book, my favorite is the Keira Knightly version, I think she suited the role of Elizabeth perfectly, and I’m blanking on the guy who played Darcy (Matthew something) was a great Mr. Darcy. In general, I’m bonkers for Jane Austen. I don’t know if you ever saw the movie “Austenland” but I would totally love to go there for role play. ❤️

My sister actually bakes when she’s anxious or stressed, so this past year has been more than the “Freshman 15”... one weekend she decided to make Cake Pops. In the span of 72 hours, she made a total of 6, because she kept messing up and she couldn’t get them to take shape and stay on the stick. But she wouldn’t give up, she made batch after batch after batch, so after starting on Friday afternoon , by Sunday 6 pm she made a total of 6, and no one was allowed to eat them !! You have such an awesome job, mind is not nearly as exciting as yours honestly. Lucky for school age children, I have none to homeschool, because I still do math with my fingers. I love getting back into snail mail, and this group has been my salvation this past year. It keeps that human connection, and a sense of “we’ll get through this together”. I don’t know how people who live alone coped when we were in a strict lockdown. I spend free time reading, and I do knit (not well by any means) and I’m trying to teach myself crochet. I loved your note so much, and it was so sweet of you, because it was so unexpected and it made me so happy !! It has gotten warmer, then colder, then warmer. I personally love spring, summer is getting too hot and humid, and everyday is an ugly hair day. My ideal temperature would be around 75 degreee. Our family does a family trip every summer for two weeks, and once we can start traveling again, I’m going to petition for it to be moved to winter. I hope you had a great St. Patrick’s Day !! My sister and I are officially Bailey’ Holics... we love Baileys Irish Cream, and would pour it on and in everything if we could... coffee, ice cream, pancakes, steak.. etc. I hope I can see my nieces soon though. After every break my sister had been keeping them home for 10 days because of the kids who have travelled over the break. Hopefully they’ll get vaccinated soon (fingers crossed) My card should slowly be making its way to you ❤️

I miss snail mail, and honestly I never realized how much I missed it, until I came on this forum. There’s just something so nice about going to the mailbox and finding a card, and opening it the good old fashioned way !! I’m the same way with books, I hoard books, I can’t walk through an airport without picking up a book, and finding bookstores are my favorite place to be.
