[Thank You] I seem to be running ever so late. With no further ado, here’s thank-you #8!

In no particular order:

u/seabluz - They loved the happy spring card! The bookmark has gotten very good use, it has currently made its home in the book series ‘Narwhal and Jelly’, which are excellent children's graphic novels about a narwhal and jelly fish who both think the other is an imaginary friend. The plant cut-out has a place of honor beside the dinosaur habit terrarium we made with succulents and toy dinosaurs. The puppy sticker has been stuck to a wall (not super happy about that, but at least it’s in her room…) Thank you so much for thinking of the littles!

u/DreamsofMercury - This was SUCH a cool homemade Potassium card. Honestly, I can’t even. You should probably go into making handmade element postcards professionally. I have had two separate people threaten to STEAL THIS CARD from me. I obviously didn’t let them, because again, super cool card.

u/PMmeifyourepooping - I collect maps so a map card is super cool, and this one had ocean currents!! Still cool even though you ran out of stars. Thank-you!

u/ZippingRailcar - The FLW stationary is BEAUTIFUL! I was going to order new personalized stationery for correspondence and then I got your card and am now considering just throwing in the towel and ordering a bunch of FLW stationery instead. I’m glad that you are now in the club of Bachman-Wilson house fans, unfortunately we will never, ever look at a sunroom the same way again!

u/Delicious_Client_845 - Thank-you for the covid themed postcard! Wherever it is that you travel to (safely because you’re post-vax, congrats!!) I hope that you have an absolutely wonderful time! I cannot wait to travel again. The first thing I do once this whole thing is over will absolutely be to get on a plane!

u/luxsloth - OH MY GOSH THANK-YOU! I don’t even know where to start (other than I am sorry I am so super and ridiculously late with this thank-you). The card is probably the cutest thing I have ever seen and I can’t wait to give it away to my main squeeze ;), followed very closely by the super cool stamps. I have already given one of them away to one of the military folks I work with, and despite him not being a philatelist at all, he thought it was very cool as well. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you and to reiterate THANK YOU!!!

u/areoutoftime - I am somewhat ashamed to say that I only just ‘got’ your username while writing it down right now. I tried the pie! And I also loved the pie! I think this might become one of my ‘go to’ thanksgiving pies. Is yellow pie usually made at Thanksgiving in your family? Thank you so much for sending through a wonderful new recipe (very southern, will fit in nicely on my table)!

u/catnamedchicken - So don’t judge me too hard for this, but the creepiest bear you could find card - was legit super cute, I squealed at my postbox in delight while retrieving the mail! I have this victorian bear that I got from a break-up (long story) and he totally reminded me of him. His name is Herman, I think this creepy/cute/let’s be frank totally adorable bear is probably Herman Jr. So, to summarize, thank you for the ineffably darling postcard of Herman Jr.

u/56Thorns - I loved the holographic Habs Valentine! And the Canada Arctic Fox stamp! So, the little puck guy kind of reminded me a bit of Peter Puck. And I know Peter Puck was vintage when I was a kid, but people still knew about him in Canada. Mention Peter Puck to anyone south of the border and they look at you like you have lost it. Anyways, thanks for the jaunt down childhood hockey memory lane, and I hope your injury is feeling better!

u/minday - That is such a great dream! The mental health non-profit that I work for works with and also writes continuing education courses for people in mental health fields, including a ton of people who are social workers. Most of them really love the work and find it super rewarding. I’m glad that you overcame your nerves in the end and you are on the road to your dream - this internet stranger is very proud of you!

u/lucilimon - Thank you for the postcard from Spain! Before covid struck I took a road trip across Spain. There are so many reasons to visit, and the food is definitely way up there. I am completely in love with the whole of Catalonia (I stayed in this super cool treehouse place on the way to Barcelona which was so amazing), and I LOVED Sevilla. I don’t think I have ever visited a city with more welcoming people, in addition to the culture and the sights and the food, it was all completely amazing. Your country is incredible!

u/A_Rank_Amateur - The old timey stuff postcard was both lovely and old timey, and until your card I legitimately did not know that those little boxes at the top of the card were for the date. So thank-you for both the postcard AND the postcarding knowledge. I hope that Spring has finally made it to you and you are able to enjoy a little bit of the outdoors!

u/Phoenix_my_Soul - So have you ever had a job where you have only been there for a few months but it kind of feels like you have been there your whole life?! That is what this job is like for me. Thank you so much for the congrats card and I loved the Ernest Hemingway quote, it is definitely one of my faves so thank you so much for reminding me of it!

u/inyola - I loved the Nashville postcard, thank-you. I hope that you get around to visiting there too, it really is a great (and definitely one-of-a-kind) kind of city. I go back to visit as often as I can. And I promise, it is SO MUCH more than just Broadway! Also, a bit jealous that you won a 40 postcard haul, but very appreciative that I ended up benefiting from it.

u/37popcorn - I hope that you are doing well and coping with all that you have going on during Covid and being cooped up! It is rough doing the whole covid thing with kids, and I know that all the different groups and meetings online are getting extremely exhausting. My absolute favorite way to pass time when I lived in England if I had a couple of days off was to hire a canal boat and try to do a bit of the canals I hadn’t seen before, I keep thinking that would be an excellent way to spend quarantine (no canalside pubs open though, which would be a bit of a letdown). I hope the weather is starting to warm up there and you are able to spend some time outside!
