iam_kayh: Thank you for your card! Lately, I've found myself quite fond of the Bugis-Chinatown and have found myself there quite often. I like this part of the Singapore River because it's quite peaceful in the day. I think that travelling to Japan doesn't need to be super expensive, but it's easy for costs to add up. I've not travelled a lot in the region, unfortunately and would like to do so in the future.
StephanieTay x2: Thank you for your two CNY cards! I love love letters too and polished off most of the tin that we had far before CNY! The detail of the pop-up card is amazing! I will admit that I've never had dumplings for my CNY! I thin that's more of a Northern Chinese CNY food, but I've also realised that my family doesn't eat a lot of the normal foods for CNY.
finishingthetea: Thank you for your card and a happy new year to you! I can't believe you have 2 reunion dinners!! That's quite unusual, but it does make sense. I haven't heard of potluck for reunion dinner, but that does sound pretty fun, since there will be a rotation of dishes and you won't get bored of it. The snacking is one of the best parts of CNY! I think love letters are my favourite traditional snacks.
