u/necropolis- - Thank you so much for the vintage postcard. I found it really cool to receive one addressed to my city. Our Chinatown still has some 1/2 numbered addresses but I didn't know that other streets used to, though it makes sense that they would I guess. I had fun Googling the addressee; she was a Dean of Women at the University of Alberta and seemed to speak at Alumni gatherings. The 1 cent stamp of King Edward VII made me a bit envious; I'd love for it to still only cost 1 cent to send a postcard!
u/56Thorns - I love the sailboat postcard! The coloured sails are great and I love the glitter on the water. I think this might be the first non-rectangle/square postcard I've received. Very fun. Thanks also for the very appropriately themed sticker.
u/luxsloth - Talk about a small world, eh? I really liked the postcard. The blue bicyclist seems very familiar. Is it part of a comic or something? And yes to bike lanes, even if traffic is a pain to deal with when they are being built. Would I truly be from our city if I didn't complain about the traffic from time to time though? ;)
I was really spoiled today. Thank you all again.
