WOOHOO! What a great day to check the mailbox! I got seven lovely pieces of mail from RAoC people, and I have "thank you"s for all!
u/stephkempf - Thanks for the Roy Bedward card! The artwork is bright and colorful, and I appreciate you sharing their art with me!
u/xoxounityoxox - Thank you for the lovely card, the wishes for a good new year, and for the stickers! I especially love the bright and colorful Totoro one. :)
u/Quintessential-ly - Thank for you for the THREE postcards! Wowzers. You did a great job of picking a perfect card, and you did it thrice! Alaska is definately wide open spaces! The vintage kitchen-y one is adorable, and I love the one that someone actually sent in 1992. I even looked up the restaurant and it doesn't even exist anymore. It's a total time capsule in a piece of cardstock and I LOVE IT.
u/pmmeifyourepooping - AH, this one is so fun and goofy I love it - Happy Mother's Day New Years! I don't always repurpose cards, but I may have to with this one since you left the front saying "Love you Mom". My mom would love it, so this may be part of her Mother's Day card this year. :)
u/same_introduction_57 - The pear card is adorable! Such a happy little pear with little glittered cheeks! I love pears, and happy ones are even better. To answer your question - it actually depends on my mood! I love to make homemade cards, but I'm not the most creative with those, so a store bought card is nice to have on hand. I also love repurposed cards, or thrifted cards. I get a lot of my stationary from thrift stores (well, not lately, but pre-Covid when I went thrifting more often). I just like cards in general. Note cards, greeting cards, postcards - I love them all.
u/girlsonabench - FELICITY and PENNY, OMG. I love this card so much. The American Girls books were my childhood, and Felicity was so spirited and lively and she had a horse, so of course I was going to love her. I never had any of the dolls as a kid, but I have since found both Molly and Kirsten at estate sales! Someday I hope to find the others from my youth too!
u/lilytingpan - I love this postcard! It's so colorful and bright. Though it reminds me of going out to restaurants, which I haven't done since February! (Take out/pick up does not hit the spot like fresh fajitas on a sizzling platter!) I also LOVE the hand drawn teddy bears! I've always loved Corduroy too!
