Hello, lovely people! I know the past year has been an absolute trainwreck (and this year hasn't started out any better), but there was one good thing that happened to me. I finally have my own home!
Without going into a long story, I left an abusive home when I was 16, was homeless for awhile, and have spent the last 6 years in a not-super-healthy environment. Now, though, my partner and I finally have a place to call our own, and we're moving in for good on Saturday.
This is such a huge deal for me. As you can imagine, I have a ton of anxiety with housing, and I have a difficult time feeling safe or secure. I want this time to be different, though. This is my home, and even if it doesn't feel like it, I know it's safe and secure.
This community has been the absolute greatest, so I wanted to share this good news with all of you. And of course, I was hoping some of you could send me some happy mail to celebrate! (New house means new mail carrier, so let's show 'em what they're in for lol).
Thank you all, and have a great day!
