u/Internet_Creep_SM ( x3 ) : Dear u/Internet_Creep_SM, please thank your step father on my behalf! Iām addressing him here onwards:
Dear Mr. A,
Absolutely loved all the 3 postcards you sent from Portugal! I had fun & learnt so much, reading up various tidbits about Portuguese history and culture. The postage stamps you used are beautiful!
Lisboa - Azulejos de Fachada : This lovely postcard was dated May 29, 2020. Loved the variety of āazulejosā and the tidbit about them being used in ancient buildings to reflect heat.
Caravela Portuguesa: Dated July 2, 2020. Read up about the ācaravelasā developed & used by the Portuguese in the 15th-16th cent. for oceanic explorations. Glad to hear you liked the āNavigation History 250ā MaxiCard! Interesting to read about the popularity of the āEndeavourā among sailboat model collectors! About Captain Cook: I have collected some interesting postcards relating to his travels and even death. Would love to send you a couple of cards...in a month or so. As for Australia: I hope you get to visit soon, it is indeed a magnificent country/continent!
Lisboa - Electric Ferry/Tram: This beautiful postcard was dated July 21, 2020. Glad to hear you liked āThe Indian-Pacific (Sydney-Perth) MaxiCard! Thanks (re: my handwriting).
