I have just collected mail from my PO Box for the first time since Christmas and was excited to find some mail !! I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Christmas and may this new year a healthy and happy one for all !!

u/mourmotto3 thank you for the Boston terrier card !! I actually have 2 Bostons myself ... Bugsy & Brian !! This card made my heart sing... thank you !! We were lucky that our state boarders opened up and my parents could come for Christmas, it was perfect !! Sadly the virus is causing issues again and the boarders have been closed, I’m hoping that we won’t have to spend so much time apart this year as we did last year - we are all just really grateful for the time we had at Xmas now !!!

It is one of my favourite places to travel, I think Osaka castle was my favourite location though- I really am desperate to come back in the spring time and enjoy the cherry blossoms - I’ve only ever been at the end of summer and in winter !

We had my parents come stay for the first time since the boarders reopened for us and also invited so friends whom don’t have family in Australia- it was such a lovely day hanging with family and friends (chosen family in reality) and enjoying the hot summer day !!

This year I didn’t go looking at lights, my kids are now teenagers ( 14.16, 20) and my eldest goes with her boyfriend but the other 2 were busy working and having social lives and it just didn’t happen !! I hope you’re loving your new laptop !! What an awesome gift- you’re very lucky !! Last year I bought my 2 younger kiddos renewed MacBooks for school which they love !

u/germymany thank you for the Mickey Mouse card !! I think I was just as excited as you would be when I read you were getting a real tree !! My husband and I discussed getting one this year, but they are just so expensive here and hard to get ... I might save and plan for one next year- although I do remember my parents getting one once when I was small, it was really messy 🤣 we have just started renovating our back patio, so maybe next year I’ll put one out there as we spend our whole summer/Christmas out there and keep my artificial tree on the house - I wonder how long a real tree would last in the hot Australian summer weather ??? 😬
