I feel so blessed this year that I found this subreddit and this wonderful community. I have a lot of RAoCers to thank, so please bear with me:
u/fieldofcabins : I have a special affinity for square cards! Your ornament card is retro and cool.
u/mostlygoodthings : Poinsettias are so pretty, and the artist who made your card created a beautiful design! Also, how long have you been practicing therapy? Iād love to hear what populations you work with.
u/snerdboff : Youāre absolutely right--there is no such thing as a too-sparkly Christmas!
u/pinkpolo : This is such a wonderful card with the matching envelope! I wish I had a toddler around the house to play with the expanding Santa train. We have a Will Ferrell ban at my house per my husband, so I doubt Iāll see Elf anytime soon, but weāre going to see National Lampoonās Christmas Vacation at the drive-in-at-the-park on the 27th!
u/pullingback : I love how everything is so sophisticated and color-coordinated, from the wintery card to the greyscale stickers to the b&w washi tape, with the one punch of red color on the cardinal stamp!
u/pinktini : Your card was a joy from beginning to end! From the 100% intact (!) wax seal to the puffy dog sticker to the ribbon accent to the recipe for chocolate chip cookies (complete with weighed ingredients--a baker after my own heart!). My favorite holiday food will forever be my grandmotherās PfeffernĆ¼sse, may she rest in peace.
u/PoisonousKey : Spinographs are so much fun and so soothing, like labyrinths--Iām glad youāre enjoying yours. I got a laugh out of the card--we need laughter more than ever these days!
u/EricBatailleur : Thank you, my friend, for the sparkly card and the custom artwork! We can all use a better year next year, no doubt.
u/yamin43 : Such a cute, sparkly Christmas tree on a petite card! Papyrus is one of my all-time favorite stationery companies.
u/3720to1 : You two are great! Iām a sucker for sloth and llama stickers. And, thanks for the reminder about things that are lit: I need to take a break and get myself an old fashioned. Iāll have the peach tea in the morning...
u/babyraspberry : Such a cool retro card! The wax seal didnāt make it through the mail sorter very well, but the stickers and the bonus polar bear card sure did!
u/yeahlikecarlos1 : Where did you get the sneaking reindeer stamp? I LOVE it! Very classy Christmas tree postcard from...Japan?
u/SarcasticHulktastic : So, Day of the Dead postcard =/= holiday postcard, but the sticker of the man being attacked by a giant snake was apparently something I needed in my life. I think you did capture the apocalypse vibe quite well.
u/silverandsapphires : a pretty card with a snow-covered forest path for a snow-covered Christmas request. If your Northeastern state is like mine, it looks like youāll get your wish, though it might look more...slushy. Hereās hoping for a fresh coat.
u/fawn_angel : The PB cheesecake pie sounds delicious! Iām always looking for bakes to make for the holiday parties that donāt include chocolate. I also like that your sophisticated ornament photograph card is made from āwell-managed forestsā! Please scritch the furbabies for me.
u/cupcakes_and_canter : I love the ocean-themed holiday card complete with a picture of Radin! Is that...a custom-made Radin stamp impersonating a unicorn on the envelope?
u/twerptwo : It seems everything arrived intact--the beautiful winter-scene card, the mini card, the cocoa packet--but I thought it was interesting that it seems one of our postal services installed an inspection window by cutting off the end of the envelope. Not even a āsorry for the damageā note! Iām glad it was just cocoaā¦Iām chalking it up to an occupational hazard of being a RAoCer. :)
Thank you, everyone! Iām looking forward to exchanging more in the coming year.
