I am very behind on my thank yous, my apologies!
u/powelale000 u/powelale000 u/powelale000 - yes, 3x thank yous for 3x cards! You have been such an encouragement to me the last couple of months. I loved the two postcards, and the holiday card with the stickers, washi tape, and tea was just over the top and made me so happy to receive. Thank you, thank you, thank you! (@moderators, please ensure they get triple credit as there were three separate items over the course of a couple months)
u/pmmeifyourepooping - Santa Rosa, NM looks very dull per your postcard! So funny how postcards can be mundane, but if you are there in person and you move beyond the town, you can see so much beauty. New Mexico is gorgeous in its vast openness. One of my favorite states!
u/necropolis_ - Thank you for the poems! My apologies for the delay in thanking you. It's been a crazy couple of months. I didn't really get a chance to sit down and absorb the poems. I think you thought it was cut off, but it turns out I got two complete poems! The ending of the first really sticks with me this year. "how day could be day | how night could be night | when everything | when the world | is always turning" - What a way to end 2020.
unknown username RAoC secret holiday sender from Connecticut - Thanks for the holiday card! I adore the bear, it is right up my alley. Bears with scarves - just so cute!
u/TheSouthernPansy - Thank you for the very random ugly card! It's so funny that you sent an anniversary card, because I received it within a few days of my husband's and my 10th anniversary! So your note and the card both were very relevant to my own life, and it was such an unexpected and happy thought.
u/StephenFromReno88 - You asked about my favorite compliment I've received. I have been thinking about this off and on for weeks now, and I still don't know exactly, but I will pick one. A few years ago, I decided that I would host Thanksgiving dinner for my family. My husband and I, my parents, and my brother. I had never done a turkey or anything big before, but this was going to be the year. I tested my method first on a turkey breast, which turned out great, so I did the same for the big bird. My father, who does NOT get excited over anything, said that it was so good and juicy and that he was impressed. I'm not sure it's my favorite compliment I've received, but it's certainly one that sticks in my mind!
u/thewholebowl - Oh man, your card got me laughing and crying and just whoosh. EXACTLY. This year has made me rethink my definitions of things. I thought I had anxiety issues before this year, but this year just threw those out a 50th story window. Here's hoping 2021 can be better.
u/TigerLady13 - Thank you for the holiday card! It's such a fun and old-school picture. I have a bunch of old cards that I've printed out for holiday decorations, and this will fit it just wonderfully. Merry Christmas to you as well! :)
u/Same_Introduction_57 - Thank you for the card, and for the very fun stickers that you included! I can't wait to use them on future cards I send. I get my cards from all kinds of places. A few years ago, there was a box of postcards and notecards that I bought at a rummage sale. Paid $5 and got probably 500 cards. I actually went through and sorted them. Gave my mom all the holiday and birthday notecards since she sends more of those than I usually do, and kept the postcards. I sorted them by region. I probably got 75 for Colorado alone. It's fun to send out cards to places I've never been or for things I've never seen!
I think that's everyone I was missing! Thank you all, and thanks to /r/RandomActsofCards for being a wonderfully bright spot in an otherwise dark year.
