So, I've been in pain for months now. I mean, MONTHS. and I've been to the doctor several times and they could not figure it out. I see a new doctor today and she... immediately after touching my back and shoulder and feeling around says, "I think you have shingles" Shocked! Because I've had every booster chicken pox shot and I've never had it in my life. And I also do not have a rash of any kind. She tells me that its rare, but about 20% of people actually get shingles, without having either had chicken pox OR a rash...

So I'm waiting for the x-ray to come back to confirm, but she seemed so confident in the fact that that's what I probably have...

I'm mainly glad that someone actually gave me some kind of answer. Something that explains why tylenol, advil or even muscle relaxers do not help my pain. I'm not in the contagious stage anymore. Just in a healing stage.
