Hi all!
In central Scotland, Halloween is celebrated less and less these days. When I was a kid, yeah we went around doors trick or treating, but for the last few years, we have not had one kid come to our door. It's just decreasing in popularity here for some reason, and with covid this year, I doubt there'll be many kids out at all. There are rumors of even the government putting a ban on it to stop the spread.
I myself have never bothered about Halloween as an adult. Sure, it's fun to dress up and stuff but we don't do it like the Americans do... Which brings me to my wife.
My wife is American. She's originally from Orlando, Florida. Halloween is her FAVORITE holiday. Imagine her disappointment every year when Halloween is not as celebrated as she's used to. It's rare for anyone to even decorate for Halloween here.
We hope to go over to her family for Halloween 2021, but for now, I'm asking for cards for her. Tell us about a spooky story or your favorite Halloween tradition.
Usually, I'd make an exchange but stamp prices have raised recently and my wife sadly lost her job (2 in one year) due to redundancies... If you really want a card in return though I'd be happy to send you one, I just cant make an exchange offer and send everyone one. Thank you all so much <3
