Hello everyone!

I'm fairly new to the sub and have enjoyed sending cards to many of you. Today I saw it was my cake day, so I thought I might do a request.

I'll call the theme of this post: "The Start of Something New"

1. It's the start of my 9th year on Reddit

2. It's the start of me regularly writing postcards (I got into it recently through Postcrossing and couldn't keep waiting)

3. It's (almost) the start of the school year (I'm an elementary science teacher)

4. It's the start of me using a PO Box (I just got it today!)

I'll be happy with anything I get. But if you need ideas for what to send/write:

-If you browse my profile, you'll see my Reddit claim to fame: back in 2015 I went to Comic-Con dressed up as Jimmy Buffett from Jurassic World (aka margarita guy). A user uploaded a picture of me and the picture hit the front page.

-You'll also see my username: gettysburging. Short story long, when I was young, I mistyped "gettying" instead of "getting." I thought it was hilarious, decided it was short for a made up word of "gettysburging," and decided to define it as "breakdancing underwater." I then submitted the word to Urban Dictionary and spent every day for a few years upvoting my definition for "gettysburg." So if you want to help/hurt my definition, look it up and vote!
