Post Body

The last few months have been anything but sane, and at long last I am finally catching up on my thank yous. Sorry to all for the delay, I hope that this does not reflect in any way on the enjoyment that I received getting all this lovely mail!

MODS: u/CapnCobbler (x2) u/dirtytightsdelano u/Doseofchildhood u/enguyenn u/feellikebeingajerk u/LeeElla u/lonelytwatwaffle u/PoisonousKey u/Psychoticookie u/reclusiverabbit u/vickiiiie

  1. u/CapnCobbler x2 for the lovely batik lokta card and not one, but two berry recipes! I have never made a fruit crumble before (despite loving to eat it) and considering we are currently in the middle of winter right now, it is the perfect season to try it. The batik lokta paper is so beautiful and I love the vibrant colour! I then received another card from you to thank me for the card I sent in exchange so now I have two from you! Thanks again for a great exchange and sorry again for the delay in my thank you.
  2. u/dirtytightsdelano for the quite detailed illustration of Colchester Castle - I cannot imagine what it must be like to live next to such a building! I live next to a park with a dinosaur slide though so... you know, dinosaurs! Thanks for the great exchange and sorry again for the delay with the thank you :)
  3. u/Doseofchildhood for the postcard of New York city with the well-versed spring-themed haiku. I will have to read it again in a few months as winter begins to fall here ^_^ The view of the city looks really amazing and it seems like a super cool place to live. Thanks for the great exchange, I hope that mine arrives safely!
  4. u/enguyenn for the fairy card and details of your favourite restaurant. I do love a good Thai meal and nothing beats a chicken satay! My favourite restaurant is also a Thai place. It has THE BEST crispy whole fish I have had in my life. Soooo good! <3 Their vegetarian Tom Yum soup is also amazing - it is quite subtle in comparison to most Tom Yums, with minimal ingredients, but the flavour is nothing to scoff at. Thanks for the great exchange, I hope mine gets to you in good nick.
  5. u/feellikebeingajerk for the Eiffle Tower card - I too would love to visit one day (and just France in general). Oh how I wish it were not on the other side of the world! I'm pretty sure I would double in size eating my way through the French capital ^_^ Thanks for the great exchange and sorry again for the delayed thank you!
  6. u/LeeElla for the very art inspired Monet postcard of The Thames below Westminster along with an appropriately artistic doodle with caption. I have to admit, my biggest concern through covid19 was also quite... superficial - I really wanted to go out for this traditional taro milk smoothie but I couldn't because..lockdown! I managed to get it in the end after everything opened back up, and they now have a new flavour - orange and dragonfruit with is amazing! yummy! Thanks again for the great postcard and I apologise again for the delay in my thank you. <3
  7. u/lonelytwatwaffle for the most intriguing card from the omnipotent Jackson Klein. I am indeed treating the pets well - both the domesticated ones and the local adopted ones that come visit us housebound folk. Oh, what it is to be free! Thank you for the kind offer, please keep a watchful eye on your local postman for a suitable reply in the near future :)
  8. u/PoisonousKey for the Yoshi card and stickers! My favourite game was also Mario Kart on the N64. We still have the game stored away and bring it out to play on occasion. Good times! Thanks for the great exchange and sorry again for the delayed thank you :)
  9. u/Psychoticookie for the wonderful surprise postcard! It was lovely to hear from you and know that you are doing okay. I hope that things have calmed down since writing, and that you are doing okay and living well. The space doggie washi tape is just so adorable and just brightens my day every time I look at it! Thanks again for the great card <3
  10. u/reclusiverabbit for the PUNtastic postcard! Peas are somewhat of a favoured vegetable in this house by certain individuals so this card belongs here like peas in a pod... (sorry, couldn't help myself despite how terrible it sounded). The strip of bird washi on the back is also so adorable that I can't even. Thanks for the great exchange, sorry again for the delayed thank you!
  11. u/vickiiiie for the Jupiter card with very well cut edges! Jupiter was also one of my favourite planets growing up - it just looks cool, doesn't it!? It also has a pretty amazing story as part Isaac Asimov's short stories (Victory Unintentional) and it is my favourite Holst movement as well. Guess nothing changes! Thanks for the lovely card and sorry again for the delayed thank you!
