Happy Mail

The love that has flowed in since I've been so absent has just filled my heart. The world has certainly gone sideways this year. While many people's lives have been sidelined to all the crazy global events, my life has become like ground hog day. Go to work. Come home. Check on my quarantined elderly and high risk family and friends. Repeat. I even lost track of time and missed my 25th wedding anniversary. So did the hubby. Last week I became a participant in all of the 2020 series of events when my appendix decided to go Drama Queen. Apparently my intestines and my appendix were having a love affair. When it ended, my appendix decided to make a grand and dramatic exit. Thus, a 1am visit to the ER for a Bon Voyage party for this useless body part. Au Revoir, mon ami!

Now that I have nothing but time, I'm catching up with y'all and making my much needed thank yous.

This is the perfect red for Chinese New Year, which I missed in the wind up of the current craziness. I still have my CNY cards unfinished and unsent. Don't be surprised if you get one. Hahaha!

u/gigi700gigi You must have read my mind!!! I have been thinking about planting echinecea seeds for my extremely territorial hummingbird. Crazy bird spies on me and follows me about to see what I'm doing in "HIS" yard. He's buzzed right up in my face to let me know that I'm just being tolerated, not quite welcome. Crazy bird! I know the butterflies will love the addition. They are attracted to the buddleia bush. You've given me more inspiration!

u/MikePenPal6 I see you acquired a Cricut! I am jealous! I've been thinking getting one, but I'm not sure if I'm up to learning how to use one. Your creativity is definitely a gift. I just love this Mother's Day card. It was so thoughtful of you to make this and send it to me. Since Covid, all of the days, seasons and holidays are kind of mushed together. I've kind of lost track of the days and what holidays have already passed, because we haven't had the usual traditional celebrations.

What else is there to live for? The original Din Tai Fung closed and they have a very large new place at the Arcadia Mall. Still long lines. My cousin moved to Singapore and her kids were really excited to go, knowing that there are 14 Din Tai Fungs there. I don't know how you could leave In-N-Out!??!! Donut Man, Half and Half, King Taco, Phoenix Bakery, etc. Time to make a trip back!!!

Aimee- I can't find your username. I do remember our message exchange because you spell your name exactly like my cousin. I love this Peter Pan postcard. The Peter Pan ride at Disneyland is one of the most popular and always has a wait of at least 40 minutes. You can't go wrong with that classic dark ride. I tried to get the Cathy Kidson Peter Pan tote bag several years ago, but I was too late. I missed the release and they were all gone. Bummer!
