/u/lovepeacechkn Thank-you so much for Madame Roulin postcard! I love the colors and love van Gogh works. I keep staring at her and she looks like such an interesting lady, I have so many questions - is she a grandmother? Does she garden? What's her favorite recipe? And speaking of squirrels, we have a particular squirrel that likes to yell at us and the dogs when we are sitting on the back deck. I used to get outdated peanuts at an old job and would leave them out for the squirrels, and then watch them take one peanut at a time and run across the street and bury it in another yard over and over! Funny little creatures, I love them!
/u/ecstatic-safe Thank you again for the postcard. This one is very cool, it looks like colored oil and water? I'm not sure but it is beautiful. Speaking of buying stamps, I was buying postcard stamps the other day, and the gal in the next line over bought a roll... I thought to myself, they come in rolls? I'm doing it all wrong!

The following thanks are for those who responded to my request for uplifting mail to my partner, Mike! Mike is planning on getting cards and sending thank-yous in the mail to each of you, but I wanted to also thank-you here in case he procrastinates too long. ;) I cannot express how much all of your cards have cheered him up. There was a small part of me a little worried that he wouldn't like that I solicited mail for him, but he has been so appreciative that I did. I can't thank-you guys enough, your cards have brought so many smiles to my love's face, and even tears. We cannot thank-you enough for all of your kindness and generosity.
/u/pinktini - Thank-you so much! Your card was the first one we received and it was PERFECTION! The timing couldn't have been better as it came on a day when Mike had a particularly rough day at work. It is such a thoughtful, beautiful card - the guitar, the quote, everything! Thank-you so much!
u/shadowzofsam - Thank-you for the lovely card! Mike loved all the stickers and truly appreciated all of your kind words, and honestly, I'm not sure who would have the better hand writing! I personally enjoyed your unicorn drawing the most!
/u/seabluz - Thank-you for the card! Mike loved the suggestions you sent to have a good summer, I am really hoping he takes the one about planning a romantic date to heart! The sticker on the front of the card was very cool!
u/DNA_ligase - Thank-you for the TEA postcard! Mike enjoyed the quotes you included and your card really brightened his day!
u/-Ohio (the great!)- Thank-you so much for the GOOD OMEN! I personally loved the old stamps, though I don't think Mike noticed those! Your kind words really brightened up his day.
u/akculley - Thank-you so much for the card with the Winnie the Pooh quote, Mike really appreciated it, and it is such a perfect quote and well suited. We are also thinking of you in North Dakota. :-)
/u/imeldamail - Thank-you for the cool postcard! It made Mike chuckle. The quote you chose was beautiful, and Mike really liked it. :-)
/u/ROBOTICDUMPLING - Many thanks to both of you for the wonderful card! Mike really enjoyed hearing from you, and strangely we have both been having cravings for mall pretzels...
THANK-YOU ALL SO MUCH! This has really been such a positive and fun experience, I really wish I could give you all hugs. Watching Mike open all of your mail and seeing his smiles has been such a joy and it would have never happened without all of you!

Edit 6/24/20: Adding a couple more thank-yous!
/u/sureguson - Thank-you for the card and all the cheery stickers! Mike really appreciated the Ishi card and thought the envelope was very fancy!
/u/2dogsintheyard - What a beautiful card! I'm assuming you took the photo yourself? AMAZING! Mike loved it and I'm going to try and find a frame for it. The calligraphy was beautiful. The Steamboat Park and River Road are my favorite places to go for strolls with our dogs. There is a long walking trail along the Missouri River and River Road, it actually goes through a couple different parks. And River Road is beautiful in the fall with all the leaves on the trees changing colors, I think it was even mentioned at one point in High Times Magazine as a cruising destination back in the day. You can take River Road north where it ends at 1806, which you can continue on North to Double Ditch Indian Village, another cool spot to check out if you ever make it out here! You can also take 1806 all the way to Washburn, it is a beautiful drive along the river.
