Things have been very hard for me lately, as my job and my car seem to be dying at the same time. The future is scary and uncertain, and getting lovely cards has been an incredible comfort over the past few weeks.
Note: I've been toggling between two addresses, so if you've sent me something and didn't get a thank you yet, or if this thank you is late, that's why! I'll make a second post soon thanking everyone who sent a card to my other address!
u/mmmyesplease I love this! Thank you for telling me who to get in touch with about the issue; I absolutely will reach out to all of these representatives. I love my mail and stamps, and I have relatives who work for USPS. This is so important! I'm also a huge John Oliver fan, so I'll cherish the stamp!
u/msmomona I love the postcard! I haven't been to Arizona in years, but it's such a beautiful state. I just love seeing cacti bloom in the spring! And your lettering! And the cute elephants! This really made me smile.
u/seraphin420 I really like these vintage style cards. I've never been to Connecticut, but I hope there are some beautiful natural places or beaches there to remind you of California! The east coast is just not the same, though I guess now I can brag that I drive well in the snow!
u/squishy_3000 Sounds like this pandemic has been rough on us both. I can't imagine being a frontline worker now. My mother (65) recently retired and was a respiratory therapist with asthma...I know it's selfish, but I'm grateful she's not working in a hospital right now. I'm so grateful to you and everyone who's out there doing the hard, vital work that helps the whole world. I hope this pandemic at least leads people to honor and appreciate this work more.
u/shlbywt I completely agree...if Lincoln had been alive to oversee reconstruction instead of Johnson, I think the country would look different and better today. I love imagining Honest Abe as a ridiculously tall, earring and gold chain wearing hipster type with a long velvet blazer. And OMG your handwriting! So beautiful!
