Hi Friends! I know I've been very absent and mute. Some of you know that I have not been quarantined and I am still going to work every day. Everyday for me is feeling like Groundhog day. I'm not one of the healthcare workers or customer service people that are encountering the frustrations and emotions on the front line. So, yes, I'm feeling a bit guilty about burn out and emotional fatigue. I carry cards and stamps with me with the intention of sending off a few every day, but with the new paradigm of having 90% of your coworkers remoting, it's like playing whack a mole with challenges that arise.
u/stockman1984 My faithful friend with the most envious handwriting. Thank you so much for your Cezanne postcard. The first thing that came to mind was how much I miss going to the Huntington Gardens regularly. Secondly, that I need to dig up my old book Chasing Cezanne by Peter Mayle and reread it. I did a quick search of Peter Mayle and remembered how much I enjoyed his books. I need to revisit them soon!
u/ninajyang Sweet Nina! We were supposed to meet over a cup of coffee or a bowl of noodles and CV happened. Thank you for blessing me with another one of your gorgeous photo postcards. This one is so peaceful. You have to tell me where this is. I'm probably taking more precautions than most because I am hearing all the news all day long. My parents are really freaked out that I'm still commuting to work and I'm providing them with all the essentials they need. What my biggest source of stress is them. They won't stay home. Any little excuse to go to the market and off they go. I seem to have lots of company in this area. Lot's of others I talk to say the same thing. They are bored!
I'm safe and healthy and so is my family. Stay safe everyone!!! I know everyone is tired of hearing this, but "We will all get through this together!"
ps- It's like I'm 16 again. Gas is cheap and I'm grounded.
