No, that relationship is not because I live in Kentucky...
My grandma took guardianship of me at age 5 when my mom died. She became the only mom I really knew. She has been battling dementia for years (and recently got more physical). She passed away tonight, and I know I'll need something...
Can anyone send me happy mail? Sympathy cards are all well and good, but this is a woman who had fire in her veins and taught me all the good swear words. She was a force to be reckoned with, and somewhere inside all these tears, I'm happy she's not suffering anymore.
I plan to send out thank yous, but they might be delayed. The coming weeks will be rough... anything will help.
