Dear kind card writers,
I'm humbly requesting an avalanche of cheerful cards for my uncle, a sweet and generous man who has been through incredible heartbreak these past couple years.
In the spring of 2018, completely out of the blue, he lost his life partner/best friend/travel partner (my aunt). He's now widowed for the second time. Six months later, his son died of cancer, and just five days after that, his mother-in-law (my grandma) died of Alzheimers. Apparently this wasn't horrible enough yet, because last year he was also diagnosed with cancer and he's going to have surgery January 22. He's trying to stay positive, but it's been a lot for one person to cope with.
Please can we send him some sunshine and good thoughts for his upcoming surgery? My uncle is the most giving man I have ever met, always ready to help wherever he's needed, was a volunteer firefighter for decades, just a good soul. He loves RV travel (especially Scandinavia), moose, funny things, trolls, gardening, children, bowling, building/fixing stuff, firefighting, the Northern Lights. Just a postcard from wherever you live would be fabulous, it'll give him new travel goals to focus on (something to look forward to). But really any kind of cards will work.
He doesn't speak English (German only), so if you'd be willing to send me whatever you want to write on your card (reply here or via PM/chat), I will translate. I know this is a lot to ask, but it would mean the world to me. Thank you.
