Hi! I still exist! I'm finally moved in and feeling normal again, and most exciting of all, I GOT A PO BOX. Will post Exchange here shortly to fill it up for the first time!
u/halfwayoutoftown -- as always you are such a gem to have "met" through this sub. I absolutely adore your Year of the Dog stamped envelope full of "Olympics" stamps -- which were still really cool! Yellow is my favorite color so this Dog stamp is badass! I need to learn how to calligraphy (calligraph? what is verb tense hmm...) like you! Also the little mini bunny card, so cute! I sent you a little reply a couple days ago XD
u/spitzruten -- quick stamp comment (umm cool geologic feature?). The QR card "game" you invented ended up being so cool! I loved it! It's literally insane that the main street in 1799... I will type that again... 1799.... still looks predominantly the same and recognizable. such a cool exchange, I really enjoyed this, thank you! oh -- and the kopeck coin! such a cute addition! I will be adding it to my other assorted foreign coins :)
u/momona -- this Indigenous People's day card told me about someone truly impressive who I'd never heard of, and I'm glad this changed that. It also is a reminder that Indigenous People's day serves the peoples of the Pacific and beyond, not just the North American continent. I hope one day we'll realize her goal of a nuclear-free Pacific... thank you very much for the card.
u/stockman1984 -- dangit Stockman, now I regret telling you your first card never came! I totally did not intend for you to send another. You are too sweet. The card is lovely though, as are the stamps! I've never properly been to King's Canyon but hoping to change that very soon, and this doubles the inspiration. thank you so much!
u/5-finger-death-punch -- omg this sexyyyy card tho! I love it! And a breakup playlist to go with it... where was this 2 years ago when I REALLY NEEDED IT lol. Will keep in back pocket for next time ;) can we talk about Austrian stamps though? like really? love the size and the BEAR is so cute!!! ahhhh! thank you so much! I hope you are doing well since you sent this! <3
u/Amrache -- holy cow thank you for adding to my small but precious maxi card collection! so nice of you to send away Maxis! if you ever find yourself here in San Diego we can go on a taco tour... ;) love the little fish stickers as well! thank you so much!
u/-Gwendolynn- -- hi!!! thank you for the China card (with German stamps -- double down in coolness). actually one of the stamps reminds me of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in China, which I've never been to but would love to see one day. also the dolphin smiling is adorable too haha. the card itself is great and the washi too! thank you so much for this exchange! I'm cheering for you too :D
u/kohenEfendi (x2) -- last but absolutely not least, what is there even to say about this post? the Türkiye Hagia Sofia cards are brilliant! the first stamp you sent me of the tunnel to ASYA I actually had a dream about that night LOL, where I was on a field trip showing my class the tunnel and explaining the things you told me about it in the note. I do wonder why a tunnel, if I remember seeing a bridge too? seems super spooky to me! followed by the second stamp, of the Ottoman Empire... with gold details nonetheless! I've never received such a loooong stamp before, it's so cool! I loved seeing the remnants of the Ottoman empire this summer, especially where it divided cities like Sarajevo right down the middle with Austrio-Hungarian architecture. the mosques are truly beautiful. and finally all the stamps you used on the envelope, including Ghandi! and a hexagon shaped one with BEES! too cool, too cool, thank you so so much!
much gratitude to this sub for keeping me sane while I was unemployed. I love you all! thank you so much!
