In going through some old books at my parent's house, my mom had my favorite poetry book set to go to the trash. I am sure you can tell that the book has been a treasure of mine and read many times. In fact, I made sure that the whole world knew it was my book by making sure my name and every piece of my identity was on it. Well, I started reading the poems and all of them really sounded familiar. I was a huge reader in my early days and thought poetry was so cool because you could put a whole long story in such a small space. That always fascinated me. Anyway, I was thinking I could make some cards out of these poems, give 'em one last read, and pass them on. And apparently I had already thought about cutting up the book already. Seriously, there are a number of pages with poems cut out. But really what made me smile were the illustrations. Many poems in the book have a corresponding illustration that could make for an interesting card.

I will do my best to stick to materials that would normally be thrown out to save a poem and other items from the landfill. And in the end hope I make you smile in reading a really long story in a really small space.
